This physician has retired.This physician is thoroughly tired out and has respectfully retired. Truly have tried my best to do the everything I could for all my patients with the greatest respect!!

I’m a Very complicated case with 2 autoimmune diseases, degenerative spinal problems and have been taking narcotics for 7+ years. Dr Roto has taken my case on board and truly improved my life in only 2 months. I’ve weaned down, almost off, narcotics. I’ve stabilized my Behçet’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis. His knowledge, attention to detail, empathy, charisma and actions have dramatically improved my lifestyle and given me hope for the first time in 10 years. I’m so grateful to Dr Roto and truly think anyone who is able to see him is extremely lucky. He is the best pcp I’ve ever had and I hope to stay with him for a long time. In addition to this, the office is clean, staff are so kind and friendly and I never wait more than 5 min to be called into the room for my appts. Highly recommend Dr Roto at UConn Health to anyone and everyone.

Hopefully, I'll never have to see him. He seems to have to justify that he's a DO and not an MD. He probably couldn't get into an MD program.

This website is incorrect - it has merged a father Dr. Roto who is a family medine doctor in putnam ct with a son who is an internal medicine doctor who practices at the university of Rochester in New York. They are two different doctors!! What's up with this??

I phoned Dr. Roto's office to get an appointment for my husband. My own doctor is away on vacation and his office referred me to Dr. Roto. Unfortunately, as my husband does not have a physician of his own the doctor refused to see him even though he is in pain and was referred by another doctor. He said my husband was not "an established patient" ! His office staff was courteous but the doctor himself refused to see my husband.

I have been going to dr roto since I had my 2nd let cut off (approx. 10 years....I couldn't have found a better dr and friend, I would trust my life with him...

Dr Roto literally saved my life. He has been a constant in my well being with his amazing knowledge of the human body. He has helped me to control my blood pressure, diabetes, weight, and overall heart health. He found a blockage in my heart in which he detected with an EKG during a routine physical. Thank God for his knowledge, He was able to diagnose a problem in my heart which lead to a double by-pass. This not only saved my life, but saved me from suffering a heart attack which could have caused irreversible damage to my heart . I think they call it an ounce of prevention. Thank you Dr Roto and your amazing staff.

I have been seeing Dr. Roto for must be over 15 years now. He is the most caring, informative, and patient doctor. In all those years he has never diognosed wrong, and the cases that he couldn't handle because of surgery, I felt safe in knowing that he would find the best qualified person to do the job. I would highly recommend both Dr. Roto and his staff.

This doctor is hyperactive, cannot listen to the patient and never follows through with patient after test resuls return. His bedside manner is poor. He tries to impress and does not speak in understandable terms. Does not like questions and is demeaning. The wait time in the office is a joke. There is little to no concern for patients sickness or ability to wait that length of time. He was so demeaning when I was alone that I started taking someone to appointments with me. I would never recomment this Doctor to anyone.

Dr. Roto is an excellent diagnostician - knowledgeable, thorough, persevering,and always up to date on the latest medical news. He maintains very high medical standards. His history as a pharmacist contributes to his extensive understanding of medications.
