Dr. Donald Robert Abrahm, MD

Dr Abrahm is best GI around here. I have been to several physicians over the years and this doctor makes me comfortable and confident even on Video visit, which says something! Staff is great reflection of how Dr. Abram works.

After multiple calls and emails, two weeks later I had still not received a contact back. When I was able to speak to the office, I was given several "conflicting" stories and multiple excuses regarding their abrupt attitude and lack of knowledge in the programs their doctor specifically participates in. Marlene and Brenda are extremely rude, uneducated and do Dr. Abrahm a disservice in how they run his office.

WENT SEVERAL TIMES HAD 5 MIN APPT DID 5 DIFFERENT TEST WHICH HAD BEEN DONE BY MY GENERAL MD SAID HE DIDNT FEEL HE COULD EFFECTIVLY TREAT ME. VERY COCKY NON CARING

Dr. Abrahm is easily the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever been to. He was able to diagnose issues that I had been having for years as crohn's disease and immediately started a very aggressive treatment plan to help put me in remission. I truly feel confident that I am getting the best care possible and that I am well informed at every step of the process. I also feel that Dr. Abrahm is very compassionate and caring-- he genuinely wants me to reach remission and feel better.

All business, no nonsence approach, accurate diagnosis before pathology, skilled surgeon, excellent professional.

Not concerned with digestive health overall. This doc likes to schedule costly procedures, colonoscopy, endoscopy and camera endoscopy. He does not follow up with results. Had to call to get results and they said the results were all normal. He did not disclose that Chronic Gastritis was found in the results or offer any treatment. No routine follow-up appt was made. I later had another doctor who got a copy of the records tell me it indicated chronic gastritis. He spent five minutes in the appt and answered a personal cell phone call while with me. I brought copies of previous medical records and he would not look at them. He gave me a speech on the importance of colonoscopy which I understand. In my opinion he is simply not interested in digestive health. The money in procedures and prescriptions is big business. Beware. Reduce your cancer risks and screen but seek doctors who will also deal with healthy lifestyle choices and not procedures and meds only.

I've been Dr Abrahm's patient for over 13 years; my husband for 12 years. He is a concerned, caring, knowledgeable and personable MD. Most important, he listens! He and his staff are great on follow-ups and emails sent thru his portal are answered the same day. Dr Abrahms' staff seem to really like working together and are unfailingly kind to the patients - it's a happy office atmosphere. This physician is #1 in my book.

It took a month to get an appointment with him & when the time arrived, I received a phone call from his office 30 minutes before it, while I was on the way, telling me he had an emergency & needs to reschedule. It was a Friday afternoon coincidentally. They tried to reschedule me 2 weeks later but I made a stink & told them I have a serious problem that needs addressed immediately. I told them I'll have to make an appt. with someone else & they could care less. They finally got me in 4 days later & when I arrived, I waited 30 minutes & a staff member walks into the waiting room & says he has an emergency & will be delayed. I asked if this happens a lot because it doesn't make a doctor look good if he has a lot of emergencies. Especially, a GI doctor. So, I finally am sent to a waiting room & wait another 1/2 hour & when he finally arrived. He told me he was delayed at his surgery center because the dr who had scheduled cases in front of him was late. That hardly constitutes… an emergency so I don't know why his staff would say that. Anyway, I told him my problem & he immediately suggested a colonoscopy/esophogoscopy & told me he needed to go because he had a ton of patients waiting for him. That's my fault, how? I didn't feel he spent enough time with me & was way to quick to suggest a very invasive procedure & I was only 40. I will say, his nurse was extremely knowledgable & spent a lot of time with me. I also wasn't comfortable with his manner of pre-op cleanse they use & they try to get you to purchase metamucil & dulcolax there for $40 when you can purchase it yourself for about $15-20. I went to another GI doctor who I found on this site and all he recommended was a daily pill to regulate me. Not an expensive invasive procedure that requires anesthesia. When I thanked this new doctor for not immediately suggesting a colonoscopy, he said, no, you're way too young. I've heard Abrahm is a procedure machine but is very skilled. Sure, practice makes perfect but I'd recommend a 2nd opinion especially if you feel rushed & realize you're not going to get a lot of personal attention. Their e-mail communication is very good though, I will say.

Dr. Abrahm has been my doctor for 12 years, and I am very pleased with his service. I gave him 5 stars on this rating because I believe in him and I would recommend him to any of my friends and/or family members. He has a very calm and caring demeanor. His bedside manner is the best of any doctor I've ever sought treatment from. His office is immaculate, the staff is friendly and informative. They clearly appear happy to be working for Dr. Abrahm, unlike many of the other doctors I've been to. On the wall of his office is an award he was recently given by his peers. Great guy!

He is the best. You can not find a better physician. He helped to save my life. I can never thank him enough!
