Dr. Donna S. Dizon-Townson, MD

I've waited 7 months to write this review to make sure any pregnancy/postpartum hormones weren't making me unreasonable. I can now confidently say my experience with this doctor was complete and utter trash. To give some background, I was referred to Maternal Fetal Medicine by my OBGYN for a few complications with my pregnancy. Of course I was scared and worried about my baby but I had been seeing another doctor at MFM for weeks. I cannot compile everything that upset me here but here are a few examples: 1) After a less than positive experience the first time I met her, I specifically asked to not be scheduled with this doctor again. Long story short, I ended up having to see her again. She made me feel stupid for asking questions and then berated me for "not understanding why I was there". Ummmm ok. That's kinda what my questions were for, lady. (By the way, it turned out that my questions boiled down to her wording something badly, which she later acknowledged and apologized for. One… point for you, doctor! But I really could've done without the belittling) 2) I ended up seeing her while I was in labor and asked her to check if I'd made any progress since the night before. She said "You won't have made progress" and I asked again for her to please check as I was in excruciating pain. I had to ask several times and when she finally agreed, it was the most painful cervical check I've ever had. After which she replied "Yup I told you so. You haven't progressed at all" and walked out of the room without anything else being said. I left every time I saw this doctor in tears. She was rushed, didn't listen and just plain rude. Save yourself and avoid at all costs. There is no reason to treat scared, vulnerable, pregnant women like this.

I would NEVER recommend Dr Dizon. I was sent to Maternal Fetal Medicine by my doctor, and just happened to get her as my doctor that day. She was putting my doctor down by saying he is just a OBGYN, when I asked her questions that didn't correlate with what my doctor had told me. I felt rushed, and completely frustrated when I left. I did not feel she was concerned about my situation at all!!!! Left her office crying and she didn't even care! I NEVER want her as my doctor no matter the situation.
