Dr. Donna Marie Koning, MD

I would not choose this doctor again. I came to her for a neck problem as I had been in several car accidents and she zeroed in on a side problem. My hands would become numb from a pinched nerve in my neck and she kept talking about that and gave me no medicine for my neck. I had an MRI which showed several discs that were degenerative. She said she would not give muscle relaxants as they made people "stoned." Not even an aspirin! She was no help for me.

I can't tell you the things she has done to help me. Sometimes it takes a while for her to get into the room because she is helping someone else. There have been times that she stayed with me well into another appointment and I know its because she cares. To her you are a Person not just a number. she once told me she takes her time because this not a broken bone or a cold this is the brain we are dealing with, and need to be very thorough. She genuinely care about her people and I would drive hours to see her if she changed clinics. she has made life with MS much better for me and I am very grateful!!

I can't say enough about Dr. Koning...she is a rarity in today's world where insurance drives the care that you receive. I highly recommend her to anyone suffering from neurological issues.

I think she is wonderful, I have read others reviews and I Have to disagree! it is hard to get in to see her, but I'd like to see you give me a Neurologist that isn't. she spent 2 hours with me once after her shift was done trying to figure out what was wrong. so If I ever have to wait I don't mind because, Ive probably made someone else wait. She will give you the time to talk about what going on and not just brush it off! so I give her a 5 stars i would ABSOLUTELY recommend her to anybody!

She was rude. She did not want to discuss anything outside of the specific reason I was there, and then she contradicted the diagnosis of my usual doctor.
