Dr. Dorothy Mary Christiansen, MD

I saw Dr. Christiansen as a new patient after not seeing a PCP for many years. She was efficient and knowledgable about onboarding me and getting me appointments for tests and then meeting with me to interpret results. I trust my care to her.

Would never wish this doctor on anyone. She is condescending, doesn't listen and a poor diagnostician. My husband had a critical emergency situation and due to her inability to listen to his concerns and her unwillingness to order an MRI he now has permanent nerve damage due to her lack of response. On top of all this she made it difficult for us to get prescriptions post surgery and offered no follow up care. Would never advise anyone to waste their time with her.

Dr. Christiansen is wonderful! She is very thorough in her procedures! I have been with her for 30 years and have recommended her to several people including my husband who was seeing another doctor before Christiansen and they could not diagnose him after going to several doctors and one meeting with Dr. Christiansen she found out the diagnose. I love her and I just discovered they are opened 3 days a week til 8:00 pm for those working people and evening is a great time to go and visit when it is not crazy busy.

Poor Communicator, Poor Attitude, Not Attentive, Lack of Professional mannerism and Lack of Understanding. I’m writing this for my mother who never complains and is a respected local business owner. But she has never been treated with disrespect and lack of empathy. If this doctor isn’t in it for helping people in medicine and treatment and only for the money then this doctor needs to leave. She’s not a good face nor positive reflection of what this medical office is. My apologies for this Honest Review, but someone needs to address several issues with her.

One year ago today Dr Christiansen gave my son the difficult news that he had cancer. She took the time to listen to his concerns a few days prior, and ordered testing to begin to diagnose what was going on and why be didn't feel himself! He was a new patient to her practice and if it were not for her and her attention to detail, he would not be here today. I am forever grateful for her care and expertise and advise as to how to get him to treatment immediately. Forever thankful, my son is in remission!

I was happy with my first visit. She asked questions and took ex rays that other doctors didn’t. I am looking forward to her diagnosis as I have received 3 different ones and no one stopped my pain, only told me what they thought was wrong. I am not looking for someone to be friendly only relief. Time will tell.

She just goes through the motions, really doesn't listen to her patients nor cares about helping. Her knowledge has really seemed to lag over the years. I wish doctors needed to be relicensed, as she would fail. When it comes to medications she has little knowledge. There have been times that I thought that she may be prescribing what she gets a "kick back" on. Look elsewhere, she's of no help.

Extremely rude with terrible bedside manner! She makes you feel like an inconvenience when coming to her office. Barely listens to issues and focuses on only the things she deems important. Terrible Doctor!

I have been a patient of Dr. Christiansen's for 7 years. She is very thorough. She has been very helpful. I can always get an appointment when I need one right away. She is caring and has helped me solve some major medical issues.

At age 23, I asked to have general blood work done. She refused. One year later, I was diagnosed hypothyroid. Poor bedside manner. Would not recommend.
