Dr. Duangchai Narawong, MD

We were scheduled with Dr Narawong when our child came home from the NICU. We did not get to choose the provider we saw. We showed up to our first appointment early per their request and then were not called back until around 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. When Dr. Narawong finally came in she said hello and mentioned how she didnt recognize us. Did I see your child in the NICU? I advised that this is our first time meeting. She told me to hold on and left the room. She came back with my child's chart. She knew absolutely nothing about my child's history. She asked me what I thought we needed to do..you are the "professional". I felt she could of been more prepared for our 10min visit. I left with no answers and I did not feel comfortable with our visit. When calling to schedule my child's follow up I requested to be seen by a different provider and was made aware that they are unable to do that since I am already established with narawong without permission from… their administrator and she transferred me. When I heard back from the administrator she said she could switch me but after this if I feel I need to switch she will request for me to leave their practice as a whole. However.... I never picked my provider to begin with. Hopefully the next provider cares more about their patients and their concerns. Narawong just didnt seem to have the best bedside manner in my opinion and left me super uncomfortable about my child's condition and future. She just didnt take the time.

Not overly impressed. She asked me how I wanted her to treat my daughter's condition. I just did not have a "wow...she cared about our situation" feeling when I left there. Don't feel terribly confident in the diagnosis she gave. Would probably go to the other neurologist in the office if I had to do it over again.
