I was pretty happy with my concierge doctor for the past 9 years (prior to going to Dr. Levitan), but after my cognitive abilities were slightly declining and my insomnia was worsening, and the things my doctor tested for provided no clues, I decided I wanted to more closely follow the recommendations of Dr. Dale Bredesen who wrote the book "The End of Alzheimer's". My concierge doctor preferred to refer me to someone who to was better educated and experienced in this sort of multifaceted, sophisticated testing and treatment approach. Dr. Levitan is certified in the Bredesen protocol that has been shown to reverse Alzheimer’s and has actually been practicing functional medicine (the underlying approach that Dr. Bredesen recommends) for over 10 years. He is accustomed to treating all kinds of issues like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, food sensitivities/allergies, toxic exposure to lead and mercury, lime disease, etc. I have been a patient for 6 months and we have… found that I have four of the possible 20+ factors that Bredesen's protocol looks to fix (lead, lime, leaky gut, nutrient deficiency). We are treating those with evidence-based methods that are nearly all derived from natural substances. However, when a pharmaceutical drug is truly the only evidence-backed solution, Dr. Levitan will include it in your treatment. Dr. Levitan also found some food sensitivities and I have noticed a change in how I feel after I started my new diet (ketogentic, gluten free, and minimizing a few specific fruits and vegetables, eggs and dairy at least for now. He will retest me and we will evolve my diet over time as these treatments for lead, lime, gut, nutrients are expected to solve more than just my cognitive issues.) I feel so relieved to have found a trained and experienced medical doctor who views the body as a biologic system with many interconnected reactions, and, as well as all the scientific studies and evidence allow,  understands them, as well as causes of issues and how to fix problems.

Doctor Levitan have saved my life! Because of him i have a full healthy body and mind, He is an excellent doctor that is very attentive to his patients, i highly raccomend him!

I have been a patient of Dr. Levitan for 10 years - He has always made me feel very comfortable by being a good listener, willing to explain things thoroughly, giving me the time I need and overall giving excellent care. His knowledge of Lyme disease testing and treatment is outstanding - something that is EXTREMELY difficult to find in a PCP. Dr. Levitan is a very kind, caring doctor and it's a privilege to have him as my PCP.

I love Dr. Levitan's vision and integrated approach. However, the practice has grown so fast the "vision" has lost focus on the customer service side of the business. Don't hold your breath waiting for a follow up after your visit but maybe if you pay a membership fee you'll get priority service now.

What I felt was most helpful was the time that he spent looking into what was causing the symptoms I was having. He was the first one that has ever done that for me and I am starting to feel better after so many years of masking the allergy symptoms. He has taken the time to talk with me about what may be happening, why, and how we can go about fixing it. I appreciate the time that he spends with me and the knowledgeable level that he discusses medical issues with me.
