Dr. Eftichia V Kontopoulos, MD

I would not recommend Dr. Kontopoulos to anyone and considered changing hospitals because of the horrible experience I had from my appointment with her. I have a very high risk pregnancy and attended ultra sounds and a appointments weekly for my entire pregnancy before I was admitted into the hospital for an extended period for continuous monitoring of my babies leading up to delivery. In my one experience with Dr. Kontopoulos her bedside manner was the worst I have ever experienced. She was disrespectful and demeaning to me as a patient. She was unable to provide me with reasoning and evidence behind her medical advice. I became emotional when my questions of "why" and "what has changed" were not being answered and she got in my face and told me she didn't understand why I was crying and I needed to stop. She lied to me about hospital policies trying to force and manipulate me into making a decision regarding my children. She falsified the clinical notes from my appointment from that day. I have heard she is a very brilliant doctor, which I am sure she is, but with the lack of compassion for her patients and her terrible bedside manner I am surprised she is as successful as she is. She treated me like a success rate number and not a human being. I refuse to have any further appointments with her!
