Dr. Eileen Rassi, MD

This doctor called me "Boo" for no apparent reason on one occasion and touched my back when I spoke to her on a different occasion. This was a little to close for comfort seeing that I am not her personal friend. When I first came into the examination room, she spoke briefly to me then left the room to perform a procedure on another patient after I had waited for about an hour in the waiting area. She did not know what she was doing when she made a misdiagnosis and increased my medication, which only my rheumatologist could do. The problem turned out to be just stress. There were privacy issues because she opened the door widely while going in and out of the room while I was having an ekg. I would not go back to this doctor even if my life depended on it.

I was very unhappy with my visit with Dr. Rassi. She consistently talked over and interrupted me, expressed disdain for my active role in my health care (I have several disabilities that require my active involvement), engaged in gas lighting when I expressed my health needs-- stating that the every-three-months blood work I must have to keep certain levels in check was ridiculous and that I should only be doing it once a year (this could actually lead to my death, so I was very concerned by her behavior), insisted on speaking about trans issues that were not my primary concern (she suggested that I don't know my gender as well as I think I do and was adamant about discussing surgeries that I don't plan to have for years), pressured me into questionable treatment knowing I was waiting for results from another (trusted) doctor, and sex shamed me, but not my cis male partner who was there with me-- and this was in a response to an answer he gave about our sex life. Overall, she was an… absolutely awful doctor, and I refuse to return to her. I'm already looking for a better doctor to replace her now.
