I have been a patient of Dr Vera’s for over a decade. Dr Vera is thorough, patient, and easy to talk with. He listens to your questions and concerns. I drive a distance to see him but, to me, it’s worth the trip.

Dr Vera is GREAT! He listens and treats what is needed. I appreciate his candor and direct communication. He is patient when explaining treatment. I don’t like UT Health’s call center nor the online (MyChart) system; they both need help.

Dr. Vera has been very good to me. Taking time to explain what's wrong and how we are going to work on the problem. He has called me at home to follow up on treatments, which is very rare today. The reason for the four star rating is the wait times can be excessive.

This “doctor” doesn’t care about my health or whether or not I die! He refuses to give me the help I desperately need. DO NOT seek him for anything more than the common cold.

I definitely would NOT recommend Dr. Vera to anyone. He is inconsiderate, rude, arrogant with no bedside manner. No compassion what so ever. He half ways listens to issues being voiced. Always making half assumptions due to his inactive/passive listening skills. Assumes patients are out to get high or take advantage of him. His unprofessional philosophy and demeanor has caused unnecessary hardships of suffering. I am amazed he remains in practice. He is a "maintenance" doctor with no skills.

Drug reps are more important than pt. Dr.Vera constantly try to pad his wallet on pts. back, unnecessary tests, follow ups, referals. Refused to refill non adictive drugs.

Dr. Vera is so caring, understanding, and amazing in explaining his thoughts and addressing your concerns. :D It is easy to get an appointment and you do NOT wait forever either. Great DR! :D
