Women, beware of this one

I saw Dr. Birnbaum in 2004 for a Colon Rectal Surgery resection. Doctor Birnbaum was an excellent surgeon and had a wonderful personality. I was a stage 4 patient and she gave as much time I needed from her to explain my surgery and what to expect after it was done. I returned in 2005 for a take down and it went great. Barnes Jewish Hospital was great both times I was there. The nurses were very friendly and helpful. I am still here because of Dr. Birnbaum and her team. I would recommend her to anyone.

I highly recommend her, she's well professional.

She's been my Surgeon since 1994 and has done all of my surgeries except one when I was in Chicago. My last experiences with her and her staff were so phenomenal. I had a resection come undone in 2010.. she was with me through the whole ordeal. Though I had serious complications, she was always there. She is talented and wonderful. I would not be alive today if it was not for her and her staff.

I believe if it wasn't for Dr. Birnbaum I wouldn't be here today. I couldn't thank her enough.

This doc is very experienced she knows what she is doing You have to get past her bed side manner she is not the type that is going to hold your hand. But she knows what she is doing so you can look past her bed side manner. She does seem argent but she deserves to be since she is good.

I have seen Dr. Birnbaum 4 times and her bedside manner is horrible. I recently had surgery and as she was checking my chart in pre-op, she was on a personal call on her cell phone. She didn't speak with either me or my husband prior to the procedure nor did she speak with either of us while I was in recovery. Her staff did not even provide me with all the information I needed prior to the surgery. Her office nor the hospital contacted me after the surgery to check on my status. I developed a bladder infection due to the surgery and was told I had to see my primary physician for this condition. I will be finding alternate care in the future.

She is the best and I trust her unconditionally

I saw Dr. Birnbaum last year, for fecal incontinence and she cured me. I was 100% satisfied with her and her staff. Her assistant is this little african american lady and she's amazing as well, very kind and helpful. I would recommend Dr. Birnbaum to anyone who is looking for good results. I don't know anyone that would appreciate a doctor with her level of knowledge and experience. She's a star in my book!
