Dr. Elizabeth Winship Martin, MD

Dr. Martin has been my PCP for over 15 years. She is attentive to the patients needs and concerns and does not hesitate to refer out to specialists when needed. She shows compassion and a true concern for her patients. The staff has evolved over the years but I find that they are helpful and friendly.

I've been of patient of Dr. Martin's for over 15 years. The level of care has been declining over the past 5 years. The service at the front desk is unprofessional and at times rude. I've called several times for billing issues and health concerns but rarely got a returned call. I've even contacted them through the patient portal and still no response. When I received an abnormal test result, I did not hear from the doctors office. I only found out there was a problem when my pharmacy contacted me about a new prescription. If they are too busy to properly care for their existing patients, they shouldn't be accepting new ones.

It is difficult to get in touch with someone who can answer questions or help you. I have been calling trying to get a prescription refilled for several days. My pharmacy called the office also with no success. When I did speak with someone at the office's front desk, I was told that they did not handle that. They transferred me to the "correct" department. I got an answering machine. I left 2 messages on 2 different days and never received a call back.

My experiences with Dr. Martin was very positive. She was very attentive and personable. Great doctor and respectful office helpers I highly recommend her.

She is caring, knowledgeable and professional I am glad I found her.

Refills It is so difficult to have a prescription refilled. You call repeatedly to check to see if it has been called in, and the messenger tells you, each time you call, they’ll relay it to the doctor and call you back to let you know when the refill is sent,/faxed, which it hasn’t, and they don’t return your call. The tone in which you’re spoken to is short and nasty. Guess I’ll be out of the medication for the weekend...SMH-

I had gone to numerous PCP's in Columbus Ga trying to find one that would help me with my obesity problem. I was recommend to Dr Martin from someone on the Fort Benning Area Guide. She has been a God's send to me! I have lost 116 pounds in a year and feel fantastic! She always makes sure I stay on top of my check ups when it comes to my blood work and other routine work ups. She has changed my life! I highly recommend her!

Worst care I have had in 50+ years. Do not assume because she set ups and sends you to ANYWHERE that she has confirmed with your insurance ... even if she says they did. A FREE service ended up costing me $700 and she took no responsibility. Check out other Review sites for details of care. Beware.
