Dr. Elizabeth Ball Tucker, MD

The most unusual experience I’ve ever had in an internist office. The office staff was not cordial and acted like middle school students. In our first appointment, Dr. Tucker reviewed my history and information. She ignored my chief complaint and she ignored that my blood pressure was much higher than normal. There was an unusual amount of trouble getting my medications filled properly and comprehensively. It was very difficult to get someone to answer the phone in the office or even respond within 24 hours. After my standard blood tests, she did not even review or follow up. Maybe she’s just having a hard time at the moment and some staffing issues, but with my health conditions, I can’t afford to have someone who is working against me instead of working with me to protect and better my health. She works through MDVIP, Ascension affiliated, which in this case did not operate anything like concierge medicine that I have been a part of. Given these unusual difficulties and the fact… that there are not very many physicians in the area, I tried to get a “meet and greet” with her partner in the practice (and a follow up on my initial testing ) to see if that might be a better fit for me. The staff acted like it was a personal affront and behaved once again like middle school students. I have physicians in my family and worked in a hospital setting for 13 years. I’ve never seen anything like it. Hippocratic oath much?

I have been seeing Dr. Elizabeth for about 20 years or more. She has been a caring, very competent doctor for me. Charlene and now Ann are wonderful. Appointments always on time. Would recommend her for anyone.

Dr. Tucker and her nurse Charlene are a terrific team. I am confident they are providing me the best medical care in all situations. Very prompt at appointment times as they treat me with respect and a caring attitude.

Dr. Tucker has great bedside manner. She seems genuinely interested in me as a person, and is always concerned about my medical problems. Her diagnosis has always been correct and she has always been very thorough. She has also been able to get me in with other doctors quickly when she has felt another doctor's opinion, expertise, or treatment would be helpful to me. She is what I would rate a "top notch" doctor!
