Dr. Erica E Hartl, MD

I had one visit with Dr. Erica Hartl and it went great. All I needed was a check up to establish a pcp and I did have a few questions, which she answer and even called me to follow up with me afterwards.

She is so thorough and kind and really helped me. I moved west and she moved east and I am grateful for the time Dr. Hartl was my physician. Miss her.

Yesterday was my first and only appointment with Dr. Erica She had me feeling so muted and unheard it messed my whole day up. I wanted to cry so bad but I didn't want her to be the reason. Even though it was my first appointment I made sure my medication in the computer was updated because i was with advocate since 2016. I arrived at her office an hour early ended up having a very pleasant conversation, with her receptionists the whole hour. I was called in to be seen and we talk briefly as she looked over my history. Then told me my weight is causing all my issue.i replied I'm on 5 medications and I workout and hardly eat because my sleep schedule is so crazy. Due to being child molested I can't sleep in dark it's a big trigger for me. I sleep around 10pm(from being exhausted) but always up by 3am and sometimes 1am. I wake up with so much energy and I try to use it I move all day constantly to increase my sleep but to her I just overeat and lie. Waste of time and money

Felt like she was dismissive of my concerns when I came in. Felt very discouraged about seeking treatment.

She was my doctor for ten years. In the beginning I was on two different type of med for high cholesterol. By the 8th. year, she had me on eleven different prescriptions. My kidneys were starting to shut down from all of the meds. Everything was beginning to spiral out of control. Not to mention I gained a ton of weight, which also led to many problems.. It was side effects from all of the meds. Two of the meds she prescribed, could of been fatal. Zoloft and Amitriptiline. After doing some research on the two, I discovered that if combined, it can be fatal. That's when I decided that I was going to take matters into my own hands. It's been five years since I quit going to her, and have not been on any meds since. My health is in great shape now. Kidneys are normal. Weight is back down, no more depression and anxiety. cholesterol and blood pressure are normal.. I'm 68 yrs. old now, and I've never felt better.... Thank God I listened to my inner voice...

Outstanding doctor in every aspect, professional, knowledgeable and confident, really recommend!

Dr. Hartl uses her patients as a resource - she listens. When she is with you she is fully present, no small feat in the current landscape of medical care.

Dr. Hartl is not my children's regular pediatrician but we had to see her a couple times because we couldn't get in to my children's normal doctor. The first appointment we had she walked out in the middle of our conversation to answer her phone. The second time we had urgent test results she ordered and said we would get a phone call by the end of the day. Not only did we not get the phone call that we were anxiously awaiting but we called to have a message left for her twice and still didn't receive a call back.

Dr Erica Hartl left the Arl Hts office 9-1 and I was never informed. And when I showed up for my appointment - I was treated poorly! No apology from the staff and no explanation. Shame on you Dr. Hartl I expected more from you as I am sure the others you abandoned without notice do too. I doubt any of your patients will follow you anywhere!
