Dr. Eugene Richard Ross, MD

Visited Dr. Ross to have wax removed from my ear. I was in his office no more than 15 minutes, most of which time was spent by Dr. Ross giving me his bio. When I received an invoice for this visit, I saw I was billed as a new patient, even though I had seen him in the past. The office visit was billed at $330 and the amount charged for a TOOL to remove was billed at $151. This is outrageous. The tool he used was a TWEEZER. Therefore, the total bill submitted to Medicare was $481. I called the complaint department at Westmed to file a complaint and they said someone would get back to me. They did not and I received another bill. When I called again, they said the visit was reviewed and that the amount would not be changed. I proceeded to call Medicare to lodge a complaint. This is why our medical insurance premiums are so high!!!

Saw him only once. Was referred to him by my school's health office for an ear infection. The drops I had been using weren't working, so they sent me to a specialist. He was pleasant enough - fast and to the point. My visit was quick, but it was a fairly simple visit and not a very complicated diagnosis. He gave me ear drops that actually worked for the kind of infection I had and that was that.

Dr. Ross is cocky, unprofessional and lacks any level of human compassion. This so called doctor had the nerve to tell an 87 year old woman who lives alone that she had cancer OVER THE PHONE. That is not news you deliver to anyone over the phone. She was even scheduled for an office visit 4 days later. That is inexcusable behavior. He rushes through appointments with no empathy for the patient and his/her family. Unacceptable.

I took my 89 year old mother to see him, he was a referral. She has been complaining that her mouth hurt, her lip was swollen and it is painful to eat- from the moment he walked into the room until the time he left- he was condescending, disrespectful- didn't let me speak, kept cutting me off and was totally insensitive to my mother's condition. Not a doctor for older patients. He did not offer any encouragement that she would get better - simply said for her to take vitamins and use ointment on her lips. When asked him would this help- his response " I don't know, she is older" This was a HUGE waste of our time and our insurance companies money! Should have read the reviews before I put her through it!

Dr. Ross is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. He is extremely arrogant and insulted me each visit.

He's an astute doctor. Sharp and right on. No nonsense approach, but pleasant and interesting to talk to. I'm recommending him to alot of people.

Dr. Ross, was wonderful to my mother. He was knowledgable and made an accurate diagnosis and appropriate, helpful referral. His credentials are impressive and he took ample time to address her issue. I would definitely refer other patients to him.

Dr. Ross was sarcastic and rude with a "God complex". Made a diagnosis without even performing an examination. Horrible bedside manner.

Dr Ross did a biopsy for my neck by doing a open surgery, while he could have done a needle biopsy said two other ENT doctors. Avoid unecessary open surgery!Always get a second opinion when ask to do something by Dr. Ross.
