Lutheran Medical Group welcomed Eustace S. Fernandes, MD, as a member of its pulmonology team in October 2008. Dr. Fernandes received a bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo, where he graduated magna cum laude. He earned a medical degree from The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, where he also completed an internal medicine residency and was a Roessler Research Scholar. He has practiced in Fort Wayne since completing a fellowship in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Fernandes, who is board certified in pulmonary disease and internal and critical care medicine, serves as the medical director of the Lutheran Hospital Lung Volume Reduction Surgery Program and the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic.

Dr. Fernandes is a caring and knowledgeable doctor. He takes time with you and answers your questions. He gives good advice and will direct you to others if you have other ailments. I would and do recommend him to others.

We LOVE Dr. Fernandez. I’ve been taking my mother to see him for years and he’s always very compassionate and patient. He also works very hard to simplify the number of visits that we need to make to see him, which, as a caregiver is very much appreciated.

Dr, Fernandes is very caring and compassionate to his patients . If you have to talk to him about something he doesn’t rush you out of the office. Dr, Fernandes has improved my quality of life since I’ve been seeing him. I would highly recommend Dr, Fernandes for anyone!!

I had to get past an allergist and was so luck to have this doctor in my life! He listened to me and got me on the correct medication.
