Dr. Evan Curt Allen, MD

Dr. Allen rarely sees his patients in person at Total Care Family Practice. I was only "gifted" the courtesy of a Telehealth call once, on which he sounded inconvenienced. In addition to his poor manner, his front desk staff are completely unprofessional and inept. The biggest issue is lack of communication and complete unprofessionalism from the front desk employees. They rarely answer the phone. They do not return voicemails in a timely manner if at all. They wait days to follow up on online appt requests. I wonder why they have an online scheduling system if they do not actually use it. Their version of scheduling through their system is they will email you that the request has been sent. Then, days later they will call you. If you are not available at that moment, be ready to wait days longer to reach them because when you immediately call them back, they forward you to voicemail. I don't even know when they check voicemail because this last experience, they did not call me back until I emailed the scheduling email again! Then one of the schedulers called me back, acted like she could not hear me all of the sudden in the middle of our conversation, and hung up. What a game they play. I have been waiting to hear back for days! Now they won't answer the phone again. This is not even the first time this has happend. So unprofessional. Total Care - no it isn't! It isn't care at all. Also, there have been a couple times where they completely forgot that I was waiting for service after they told me to go sit in the seating area. Looks like I will be seeking a new PCP. This place is a joke.

Not going there anymore, no Medical Doctor, just PA.

Had to leave this clinic even though few employees are nice. They made me come twice to the clinic and "BILLED ME TWICE" for the same issue.

Few people who work here are nice, its not their fault BUT TRUTH NEEDS TO BE TOLD TO ALL as I believe in HONESTY and HONEST BUSINESSES. They CALL you to the CLINIC just to "BILL YOUR INSURANCE" and in the end, you DON'T get the "Medical Help" you need and they say "We are SO SORRY BUT you HAVE TO COME AGAIN", so THIS CLINIC "BILLS the INSURANCE TWICE", not NICE !!!

My whole family goes to Dr. Allen. We feel Dr Allen is a great doctor. He and his staff and PA's really care about their patients and always take the time to throughly explain everything to us. We are very happy with the excellent service we receive at this office.

He looks so fat and unhealthy...

Not happy at all. I've taken a specific medication for over 20 years and they want me to come in every 6 months to have it refilled. I could understand once per year but this is absolutely ridiculous. Also, I had an X ray on my hand roughly 6 months ago because I had fallen. They made me come in to get the results (a cyst in the palm of my hand which had likely been there for life). I have never once met the Doctor and am firing this office. I would like to also sue for Malpractice because it is obvious all they care about is money. I can't take that much time off work to constantly go do office visits and refuse to!

The Drs approach was very abrasive. When I explained that I had found difficulty in losing my excess fat he told me I was not trying hard enough and should eat less and exercise more. I told him my joints hurt when I walk and he started shouting about how he had also found weight loss difficult, but had succeeded even though he still looked to be obese. He advised me if I did not want to die at a young age I should take statins they could save my life. I left his office and would never go back again. Stay away from this Dr at all costs.

"The explosive gas let loose and to an explosive shart! 10 minutes into my examination, the doctor left to the next door toilet. Unfortunately, the walls between toilet and examination room aren't soundproof. what happened then was like something out of Dante's Inferno!!! He had an EXTREME build-up of gas. He released such a large volume of gas about 4.5 - 5 seconds of gas was expelled. When he came back it was EXTREMELY AKWARD. i quickly left and never came back.

While I was waiting and sitting during my examination the Doctor stood up from his chair and turned around to get a book. Suddenly there was a loud noise. I felt a large release of warm air across my cheeks. He had just farted loudly in my face. The smell of the fart confirmed that the doctor is bean loving vegan.

I think Dr Evans is great, so knowledgeable, I’ve been there many times not always see Dr . But the PAs are amazing! Glad to be at that office!

He is a quack said he was raisingmy cholesterol so I don't DROP DEAD TOOK ME OFF OF ONE OF MY DIABETIC MEDS WITHOUT SEEING HE'S HISTORY FOUND ANOTHER DRBLOODTESTS

I was misdiagnosed with copd and spent over 1000 $ on scripts.the PA told me to take symbicort morning noon and night.The ad on tv says don't take it more than twice a day .She gave me a spirometer test and had absolutely no idea how its done .I was diagnosed by Dr Faria as having asthma.(I switched offices due to incompetence)

unable to see doctor since he only sees his concierge patients, you are forced to see PA's who are not that knowledgeable. Front end staff are great and they are the best part of this practice. Wont be going back

I never got to see dr allen for which I'm heartbroken but his poor sad pa-c who didn't impress me a t all...I wish dr.allen would take insurance again so I could enjoy his level of care again....peter forseth

First started seeing Dr Allen about two years ago and was rather impressed however in the last year it has become horrible. My husband and I both have found another doctor. All they care about is getting you in there to bill you for an office visit. They also bought an ultrasound machine and it seems they are looking for reasons to use it in order to pay it off. I pulled a muscle in my back and even though my blood work showed no kidney issues they wanted to do an ultrasound. IT WAS A STRAINED MUSCLE!!! My husband was there for the flu recently and they wanted to do an ultrasound on him too. I swear they are just trying to pay off the machine. They now have a new program that they are trying to sell that if you pay $2000 (even though have full insurance) then you get in right away and certain things like follow ups are not charged. Follow ups should not be charged anyway. The billing is always messed up. I always have to call my insurance company before mine or my husband's appointments and check what should be billed and sure enough, they always get it wrong until I tell them to call the insurance company and check and then miraculously it's covered. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

Last office visit I actually saw Dr. Allen. He told me what was wrong with all of the meds and vitamins I am taking and tried to convince me that I should take different ones instead. Kind of put off by the attitude since I just wanted to refill a prescription. Went to get my medicine refill only to find out it was never refilled. Office said I had to come in again to be seen to get a refill. It's a medicine that you cannot stop, but I ended up having to because I was unable to get time off work just to get another appointment to refill a medicine I have been taking for years. Changing doctors.
