Dr. Evelyn Eileen Burdick, MD

Doctor heavily over prescribes drugs! My mother went to Kingo Church with her and as soon as the first appointment, she started giving her narcotics. it started out with codeine, then moved to xanax. The dosages were increased heavily until the DEA started monitoring her. Once Evelyn caught wind of this she cut my mother off cold turkey and she had multiple seizures as well as a stroke. She also developed tardive dyskinesia and her face moved on its own for over 9 months. Other doctors told her she would never recover from that but it went away after 10 months. The seizures and stroke that occurred forever changed her. Evelyn is only about $ and if I was older I would have sued her for every penny she had.

Love her! I am a nurse and have been a patient of hers for years. She is very thorough, she listens and has an excellent manner, and if she is unaware of something, she will look iinto it and get back to you with suggestions/advice. I work with many doctors, and she is truly one of the best!

As the preceding patient noted, Dr. Burdick ignored my symptoms and it was not until my daughter heard my complaints and diagnosed my condition that I asked for further tests and thus learned what had been wrong with me for 5 years!as with consumers, let the patient beware!

Dr. Burdick cared for me and my two children. It was not until my symptoms, sleep (or lack of, pain throughout my body, lack of coordination with specialists, migraines, you name it came to a huge mountainous peak I realized that Dr Burdick thought I was a hypochondriac. She in fact had not taken any of my symptoms over the last 10+ years seriously (except sinus infections, like the obvious easy stuff) and until I self referred myself to Froedert neurology and a new PCP (and obtained med records) did I find she had blatantly ignored me, while seeming to be caring and concerned to my face!Because she was my pcp for 12+ years, she helped to influence to opinion of my 'untreating' rheumatologist (who is not off the hook as doctors are trained and old enough to think for themselves). Dr. Burdick did not assist me with referrals, diagnostics, communications, etc. much to the horror of my treating providers at Frodtert (who have whispered her name while reviewing my chart). Yes, Dr. B,… I did a psych consult and its all in my body, not my head; thank you for contributing to my early disability retirement.Because I did not receive care early in my diseased condition, though God knows I cried many times in her office about headaches, chronic pain, flare up, numerous bouts of iritis and uveitis (she couldn't figure out how I got that! and called her staff in to see it when I was kind enough to come in after see my ophthalmologist, just so they could all look at my eyes. Mind you she looked at them first and told me they were fine, just a little red - let say blazing with inflammation?). So thanks to me Dr Burdick might have some idea what iritis looks like now? However, she has NO idea what a patient with multiple symptoms in a progressive degenerative disorder look like, even though its documented in my family history! Ankylosing Spondylitis - I have the genetic marker, I'm Indian (american)which increases the chances, I have a family member with it, etcNo way she should have ignored me. This is a rare disease so I don't expect her to diagnose it, but she IGNORED me for YEARS without actually ever making it clear that she was ignoring me? In the end she fessed up. Just tell your patients the truth so they can find another doctor to work with if they don't like you Dr. Burdick. Don't lie to them and pretend to be someone you're not. You have me a great disservice. I could have secured care earlier, been diagnosed and treated properly. My spine is now disinigrated. I hope to stop by and BEG you not to do this to anyone else if I can manage to travel home to see my Mom. See I can't get on a plane. I am so mad. Don't see this doctor, don't send your kids.
