Dr. Faafouina Salapiu Afato, MD

Dr. Afato seems knowledgeable and competent, and he takes the time to understand the need, discuss options, and answer questions. I had come to him with a self-diagnosed case of A-fib and he encouraged me to see a cardiologist whom I have also found to be knowledgeable and competent. Dr. Afato has always been courteous and gracious, taking whatever time was needed to address my needs. His staff have likewise been very polite and professional. Some physicians I've dealt with have had the attitude that their medical views and judgments should not be questioned, but Dr. Afato is not that way. When he indicated that he would order a blood cholesterol test and I told him I thought homocysteine levels were a much better indicator of CVD risk, he readily acknowledged my perspective and instead ordered the test I preferred. When I needed a telephone consultation and a prescription from him, I had no difficulty obtaining them. I find Dr. Afato a pleasure to work with and I'm glad I found him.

GREAT STAFF AND AMAZING DOCTOR. VERY RARELY IS OUR WAIT TIME VERY LONG. USUALLY GET CALLED TO SEE THE DR. PRETTY FAST. OUR FAMILY IS VERY SATISFIED WITH DR. AFATO AND HIS STAFF. THANKFUL TO HAVE FOUND A GREAT DR.

Worse Doctor I have ever seen, wanted me to do a lot of his in office test, felt like all he wanted was my money

I have been looking for a doctor that would actually listen to me and not just prescribe pills and I finally for that with Dr. Afato.

Initial visit, $120, thereafter $85 mo. for those without insurance. However if you need to reschedule they make you pay $120 for visits..? Dont seem to care much for patient need, and obviously all about money. Cant communicate without paying, hold medications hostage, will leave you high and dry without a second of hesitation. Very dissapointed in their motivating factors and patient care. Sad
