Dr. Fabian A Mendoza Ballesteros, MD

Since I have an uncommon autoimmune condition, he is one of the few doctors that treats this. So even though I’m 2.5 hours away , I made an appointment. It was clearly stated what I was coming in for, and was never ever once told I needed an extended appointment time. The appointment was in the afternoon and after the 2.5 hour drive , plus tolls and gas and parking I’m told that he can only briefly see me as I needed to have my appointment first on the morning . Ok. Took four months to get next appointment @ 8am , arrive at 7:45am. Drove in the dark in torrential rain to make it in time. It’ costs approximately $50 with tolls gas and parking to make this appointment. I arrived at 7:30am. At 7:40am they told me he wasn’t coming in . Just like that , in a matter of fact way , you’ll have to reschedule. No apologies, no nothing.

I've been seeing Dr. Mendoza for the past six years and I'm very pleased with this practice .

Unresponsive. Rude and unkind staff. Hours of waiting. Can't get a return call or prescription refill. Twenty minute wait on hold to get through on phone. Old and dirty office space.

His office operates like a 3 ring circus. Disorganization and carelessness are two words I would NOT want used to describe my doctor. He is rarely on time refilling prescriptions. When he does it is apparent little to no thought was put into it, resulting in careless mistakes.

Waited months to see this doctor. He was useless. Did not find my thyroid issues and never diagnosed my auto immune issues correctly.

Great doctor, treats you like an adult, involve you in decisions, and will explain you carefully risk/benefits. At the beginning I was a little anxious with the detailed explanation of potential risks for the medication but later on I understood why we (I am very involved in my care) are treating my disease in that way. BTW , secretary is...difficult, but in this case, is not my doctor fault. Overall 4/4 stars.

Despite office staff can be hard to reach, his expertise in rare diseases and very rational approach to my problems was Extremely helpful.Very warm but also direct and sharp. Def. my kind of doctor
