Dr. Federico George Leon, MD

Today was my first visit to Dr. Leon. I didn’t know what to expect except the usual 15 minutes with the Doctor mostly gazing into a computer screen. I waited 30 minutes beyond my appt time but the moment Dr. Leon came in the room he sincerely apologized and explained a patient had an unexpected problem that needed attention. Instead of rushing me along he sat down and did the most helpful, useful, thorough interview with me i’ve ever known. He makes himself very easy to talk to and demonstrated his knowledge of psychopharmacology which most doctors don’t even touch on. I feel like i’ve Found a doctor I can turn to anytime and count on to help me. Wow! Now I liked his nurse and the office staff. I’ve had some very, very poor experiences with other office’s staff so maybe my bar is kind of low. I don’t think so, though. You have to deal with the staff really more often than the doctor so I chose Doyle Drive Family Practice because I liked the staff. Also, they have a walk-in clinic… after office hours in case you can’t get a same day appt and need one. I recommend Dr. Leon and his staff very highly.

Dr. george is nice-but you have to make nice with the receptionist and the other staff or your screwed. 4 hour wait time. no exceptions to that. sometimes you wonder who's running the show- it seems staff has allot of pull where they shouldnt and that's unfortunate because dr leon is a nice, friendly and truely affectionate dr. i used to think he was worth the wait until i made one of the staff mad and she had pulled rank. it's unfortunate, but it's like a mad house in there.

To those who know him he is a very dedicated Doctor to his patients. Some find the time he takes with each patient aggravating but I have never left there not knowing more then when I went in, and feeling better. He has saved me thru a life threatening experience - and if you want a quick in and out EXCEPT for the walk in clinic, this is not the place. If you need brilliance, compassion for the whole body this is the place. People know him as Dr George Leon

Great doctor! Helped me after going to several doctors over the years with the same problem. They knew something was wrong, but did not treat me. Dr. Leon diagnosed the problem and treated me promptly! So far, very satisfied. One staffer was not too professional, though. But Dr. Leon is knowledgeable, caring and has excellent bedside manners. It took me a while a get the appointment, but I'm glad I went.

Even if you have the first appointment of the day, expect to wait because Dr. Leon makes hospital rounds before coming to his office. I drive 30 minutes and pass many doctor's offices to use Dr. Leon, he is that good. The wait may be long but you'll understand why when he spends 20-30 minutes with you when it's your turn. He makes me feel like I'm his only patient when he is with me, spending as much time as needed to talk with me and answer all my questions. Dr. Leon is the BEST doctor I've ever had, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Waiting time in this office is about three hours, although they are great physicians, the wait and rudeness and disrespect of a particular employee has made many patients leave and seek treatment elsewhere.
