Dr. Fehma Tufail, MD

Both my husband and I have been with Dr. Tufail for a few years through Kaiser. I hardly go to the doctor, but my husband has complained about the lack of understanding this doctor has and she won't take the time to listen or even ask the right questions. She right away says what her prognosis is and prescribes medication. My husband comes home and takes the medication. He doesn't get better, or he gets worse. My husband has dealt with depression, anxiety, and migraines. I have accompanied him to a few of his appointments to make sure he's communicating correctly with his doctor. I explained to the doctor, my husbands situation, feelings, history and the drama to his doctor. She told me he just needs me to love him and understand him better. *Sigh* that was the last straw. I've been married to this man 20 years. I support him and going to the doctor is the final step for him to get better. We switch doctors after that visit.

First things first. She did NOT know how to listen, couldn't contain herself she had a smirk on her face the entire time. I switched to her thinking I'd get more hospitable services. I was WRONG. I've been on the same script for almost 5 years and she down right took it away. Now there is a guarantee I WILL have seizures. She informed me that "I could possibly die as a result, like not wake up and/or have epilepsy" yet she still withheld my medication from me because she felt I didn't need it. I think she needs to keep her personal opinions to herself and act a true health professional.
