Dr. Felipe J Garcia, MD

I have been going to Dr. Garcia for more than a decade. He is not my pain management doctor. He had been doing blood work and prescribing my Thyroid medication. Dr. Garcia's office phoned me and canceled my last appointment. I understood and told them I would have to call back to reschedule. When I called, I asked if they were doing tele-health appointments. I was told no, they were still seeing patients in the office. I told them all my other doctors were doing the tele-health appointments and I would call back to make an appointment when the Covid issue was calmed down. Today, when I called to make an appointment, I was told I was no longer a patient. I asked what I needed to do to become a "new" patient. I was told the doctor was not accepting any new patients. On this web site, It says he is accepting new patients. I have been in Dr. Garcia's waiting room many times and I have only been it the room with one other person. Most visits, I was the only patient. None leaving as I… went back to see the doctor and none waiting when I was leaving.The office has never been busy. The art in the waiting room is very dark and depressing. Fair warning, if this office will do this to a long time patient, Dr. Garcia might not be there when you need him.

Very attentive, and involved in my health care overall.

Dr Garcia is truly concerned about my welfare and spends a lot of time diagnosing my health for my oppropiate care.

Dr. Garcia takes the time to listen to his patients and carefully explains the options available for improvement of the condition. His staff follows up on phone calls.

A Physiatrist maybe the best Doctor to have in the 21st century, I chose Dr Garcia simply because he is a Physiatrist (additionally trained in Orthopedics, physiology (understands pain), with nutrition & other stuff) not only does the specialty meet with my personal medical situation, but his deeper understanding of orthopedic issues kind of allows me to have THREE Doctors in one, a Nutritionist, a pain manager, & Orthopod with Skeletal Muscle training. * As a L2,3 Paraplegic not only do I have a family Doctor, but I have Dr Garcia as well, to manage the discomfort (pain) I experience 24 X 7 as a post Spinal Cord injured patient of 26 years. * Garcia is laid back, yet very engaging, he's a happy guy to be around, and he knows & loves his trade, plus from the looks of the waiting area, I'd say the Doctor is an Art lover. The staff is polite, friendly, and courteous.. Dr Garcia has provided me with excellent care for years, and I recommend you set an appointment to see him!

My experience with Dr. Garcia has always been a good one, the wait time is very short, the atmosphere is laid back not hectic, and the office staff has been very nice to me every visit. Dr. Garcia himself is very nice his bedside manners is superb, he really takes the time to listen to me and any concerns I have he will listen no matter the case. If you are looking for a great pain management doctor he is the one you need to see, nobody else. He has been the only doctor to help reduce and manage my pain, he is a GEM and I would not give him up!

No compassion from office staff. Won't return calls, rude interactions, just away awful experience.

Dr. Garcia himself is a nice,friendly guy. However his office staff is absolutely the worst bunch of people that I have ever met. And most of your interaction is with them. They treat you like you are a drug addict, because you are in there for pain management and are unwilling to ever do anything to help you if you have a problem. I have been going here for 2 years but today I am thru. I have had it. I have suffered because this is about the only place that will take my insurance. But I will just pay for my doc appt. out of pocket at this point. I believe that Dr. Garcia just puts on this nice facade and his office staff is the true reflection of him.
