A wonderful caring doctor!

He did a cystoscopy with an unsterile instrument that laid in the room uncovered for 40 minutes. He never washed his hands not once beforehand! He didn't even swab or clean the genital area before he put the scope in. It was also painful. 2 days later: fever of 103, hospitalized with sepsis from severe urinary tract infection at holston valley in TN all because of this unclean doc. The sepsis he gave me messed up my chemotherapy treatment for stomach cancer also. My chemo was cancelled til I got over the life-threatening infection he caused. Now its too late to start chemo since my radiation therapy is near ending. Very very poor doctor. Went to a new urologist in Kingsport, TN and had the same procedure done a few weeks later and he washed his hands, swabbed me with iodine, used a new clean instrument he unwrapped in the room and it did not hurt at all. That is how I know doc Shepherd did not do his job right. I don't recommend going to this man, EVER, for anything. I should send… him my Wellmont Holston Valley medical bill for my hospital stay caused by his uncleanliness.
