Dr. Feng Liu, MD

My 12 year old daughter received her diagnosis and successful treatment of ADHD by Dr. Liu starting when she was 8 years old. She has always been a sensitive and shy child who does not open up easily. From their first session, Dr. Liu established a genuine connection with her and gained my daughter's trust quickly. My daughter always looks forward to seeing Dr. Liu even though she generally hates speaking to doctors and finds their questions "nosey" and "not trustworthy". After each session with Dr. Liu, my daughter is always lighter and happier. Dr. Liu makes my daughter feel smart, likable, capable, and normalizes ADHD for her which relieved a lot of the shame/embarrassment/guilt she felt. Dr. Liu also always patiently listened and addressed any concerns we had as anxious parents after each session. We have tried, without a single success, other psychiatrists who accept our insurance, but our daughter only trusts and opens up to Dr. Liu. We are grateful for finding her (she came… highly recommended from my children's pediatrician in Tribeca) especially seeing first-hand how hard it is to find someone who is deeply knowledgeable, experienced and cares. Treatment can be dangerously counter-productive otherwise.
