Dr. Remzi has helped get my life back. Over the course of the past decade, he's worked with me, on my timeline, performing multiple surgeries (as planned). Him and his Team are incredibly professional from pre-op through post op and discharge. He's a brilliant, confident and whole-hearted man, who understand the seriousness of his work. I trust my life with this man and would recommend him to anyone who is contemplating a surgery that he performs.

Dr. Remzi is by far the BEST doctor I have ever seen in my entire life and I've seen a lot of doctors! My journey with him started in 2020 when I was told by 3 other surgeons in Michigan I needed a permanent bag. I found Dr. Remzi through a FB group and everyone had amazing things to say about him. We flew to NY from Michigan and started my life-changing journey! Dr. Remzi told me that I did NOT need a permanent bag and my pouch was mechanically incorrect but could be fixed! He is very upfront and will NOT sugarcoat anything!! I knew this wasn't going to be an easy journey but I wanted my life back and he was the man for the job! I feel extremely bad for him because my surgeries have been pure hell and he has been by my side through it all!! When I say I was an extremely complicated case, I mean it! He never left my side and promised me that I would pull through all the horrific things that were happening and I did!!! Dr. Remzi takes great pride in his patients and treats everyone like… family! I have sent many many patients to Dr. Remzi and every single one of them thank me for helping them find a doctor that cares and is willing to help them! Doctor Remzi pushes limits and will do ANYTHING to help you have a better life!! All I can say is he's a top doctor for a reason and if you need help and you're feeling defeated, he's your doctor! My personal journey with doctor Remzi has finally come to an end after 3 loooooooong and crazy years, but I'm bag FREE, my pouch works great and my life is fantastic! Dr. Remzi isn't just my surgeon, he's my friend and I know that we will keep in touch and we will see each other again but not in a hospital setting! We will be at a restaurant having a drink celebrating!! Dr. Remzi if you read this I love you too infinity and beyond and I can never thank you enough for what you've done for me! You are a god sent and you have changed my life forever!! "

Horrible doctor. He left me with fistulas in my upper intestine and a ileostomy that he told me and my parents that it was only going to be three months and he lied. Lied to my family my and I then got offended when I got a second opinion. He said he wasn’t going to fix the fistulas that he made. So I went somewhere else. The new surgeon had to take down his awful connection that had wholes in it resect that then fox the fistulas he left then he connected my ileostomy so I’m bag free. Don’t ever see Remzi. Please don’t go to him.

Meeting Dr. Remzi at a young age was a blessing. He has been in my life since and through the surgeries he performed my life has returned back to a normal that I hadn't experienced in a decade. He is one of the kindest doctors I have met and the only that would listen to me when no other doctor would when I was really struggling with my health. I would highly recommend Dr. Remzi to anyone considering surgery for IBD. I truly believe he is the best colon/rectal surgeon there is.

We have never had a better experience with any doctor and we saw too many to count during my husbands medical crisis. Dr. Remzi followed my husband after complications with his j-pouch surgery which was performed by another surgeon. He and Dr. Shen took care of him like he was their own. We drove 7 hours every 3 months because we knew there was no one else that would care for him as they did. They are confident, knowledgeable and compassionate. If it weren't for them, we would have been going on 7 years with a permanent colostomy. Instead my husband feels better than he ever has and lives a life he never had. He is our hero. We have referred other patients to him and they also have had life-changing experiences. Thank God we found Dr. Remzi.
