Dr. Francis Peter Cyran, MD

Dear potential/current patients of Dr. Cyran~ I had the miraculous opportunity to have Dr. repair my newly replaced hip(10 days) and fractured femur, (June 2021) when I tripped and fell in my kitchen. His skills and expertise gave me my leg back. I know he was sent from God to Langhorne, PA, for "such a time as this." Esther 4:14. It was an amazing moment, post-op when I read he "repaired Veterans who were deemed untreatable." My recovery went very well and I thank God every morning, for Dr. Cyran and the fact that I can walk on my own two legs. God bless you and your family Dr.

Dr. Cyran did my hip replacement surgery in May 2012. I am an oncology patient, so his competence was essential in diagnosis, replacement and follow up.

I took my daughter to see Dr. Cyran after another doctor in Nevada reccomended that she have an amputation for cancer. Dr. Cyran looked at the x-rays and said he could save her leg, and HE DID! He took the cancer out, and replaced part of her knee. My daughter now has an fake knee, but she walks great and is going to her prom!!! Our whole family is happy - but most important is that my daughter is cancer free and can walk. Go see him.

Dr. Cyran was thoughtful, thorough, and explained carefully what he thought and what he planned to do in surgery. He instilled confidence both pre-op and post-op. He called when he said he would, answered all my questions, His assistant, Jennifer, also is very good at calling patients back, answering questions, and walking you through what to expect. Excellent doctor!!!

Dr. Cyran and just replaced a second hip for me, and was once again not only an excellent surgeon but an amazing human being. He visited me at least once a day in the hospital, and personally checked on me, even though he has two or three medical assistants helping him. If you read a review that talks about him being late, it's true. Once you've worked with him however, you understand why. He takes all the time he needs with each patient so that each patient is comfortable and has all his questions answered. I feel fortunate to have been in his hands.

I've had multiple other doctors look at my hip, and none of them could figure out what was wrong with it. Dr Cyran figured out I had an infection and removed the infected pieces and gave me a new hip after the infection cleared.I am pain free and walking well for the first time after being diagnosed with cancer. His waiting room is busy, but he sees alot of people with hard problems.I sure am happy I saw him.

Dr. Cyran does have a long wait time but that is becuse he takes the time each patient needs even if UCLA makes him book every 15 minutes. He answers all questions calmly. I had a hip replacement, he visited me at least once every day in the hospital. He is thorough, patient and compassionate.

Doctor Cyran was excellent.All of my questions were answered and he was very pleasant. he was kind to my family as well. He is smart and explains all of my questions in easy to understand terms.UCLA should be proud to have him as one of their doctors!

I was referred to Dr. Cyran for my hip problems. I had to wait a month to get an appointment. The day of my appointment he was 45 minutes late getting to the office. After seeing his assistant for basic info it was another 20 minutes before I actually saw him. He examined while wearing a 3 piece suit, no doctors coat or name tag. He told me that basically both of my hips had to be replaced eventually. I have some preexisting conditions that are gong to make the risk of infection greater so he told me he would do some research on it and to call him in two weeks. It has been 3 months and I have literally called him at least 10 times. If I'm lucky his assistant will actually answer the phone and always tells me she will email him and give him my message/info and to call me back. Most of the time I get a message machine and leave a message asking him to call me. In the 3 months and 10+ messages I have left I have never received a call back or an email to even acknowledge that I… exist. He obviously could care less about his patients or his reputation.

Staff and booking an appointment are difficult. Maybe this is a UCLA Medical Center Problem. Good doctor but the staff brings his practice down. They need better training in people skills. If you have been to the DMV... you know what I am talking about.
