Excellent and honest physician. I was getting considerable pressure from another eye surgeon to get my cataracts removed. Came to see Dr Clark why reassured me that it is always elective and Can be waited upon. Very kind physician also.

What I respect about Dr. Clark is his honesty. About 10 years ago, another eye surgeon pressured me into cataract surgery. Dr. Clark examined my eyes and told me I didn't need surgery. Ten years later, I still haven't needed cataract surgery. That integrity is why I trust him to this day.

As a fellow physician in the South Jersey Shore area, I know the difference between routine care and true diagnostic excellence. For years, I had subtle, progressive visual field symptoms that were repeatedly minimized or attributed to routine eye changes. Then I saw Dr. Francis Clark. He listened carefully, examined thoroughly, and recognized a pattern others had missed: signs of chiasmal compression. His clinical judgment led to the appropriate neuroimaging, which revealed a pituitary tumor. That diagnosis changed the course of my care. Because of Dr. Clark’s intervention, I was able to obtain neurosurgical treatment before suffering irreversible optic nerve damage. In medicine, we are taught to look for horses, not zebras. Dr. Clark knew when the ordinary explanation no longer fit. He is a doctor’s doctor, and I am deeply grateful for his care.

I had a real bad experience with my first eye at another doctor and it was a total mess. I’m so glad I found Dr. Clark for the second one. He used that ORA machine to take live measurements while he was doing the surgery and it made all the difference in the world. I’m finally done my appointments and I can see the road clear as a bell when I’m driving the Schuylkill. I wish I would of went to him first! He has a one of a kind bedside manner and really listens to you. If your nervous because a different place messed up your eyes, go see Dr. Clark. I didnt think I could see this good again but he really knows what he is doing.

Another doctor told me my cataracts were “beyond ripe” and I needed surgery right away. Didn’t love hearing that. Figured I’d get another opinion. Dr. Clark checked everything. Took his time. Explained it so it actually made sense. Said if I’m seeing fine, no reason to rush into surgery. That meant a lot. No pressure, no scare tactics. Just straight answers. Glad I went.

Dr. Francis Clark is one of the most attentive and caring doctors I’ve ever had. during what I thought was a routine eye visit, he noticed something that concerned him and acted immediately. He explained what he was seeing, told me exactly where to go, and even contacted the doctors at the hospital so they were ready when I arrived. That attention quite literally saved my life, and I still get emotional thinking about it. His bedside manner is outstanding and genuinly comforting. Even the way he spoke to me helped keep me calm. He checked in on me later that day, or maybe the next morning, just to make sure everything was going ok. The staff at the hospital was very, very complimentary and had nothing but good things to say about him and his reputation.
