Do not recommend the doctor or his office staff. Find another pulmonologist.

Dr DiPalo took care of my mom, he was extremely helpful, caring and the care was immediate. He made sure staff at the hospital took care of my mom and was diligent. I’ve never had a more attentive Dr experience. He knows his stuff and isn’t afraid to say what needs to be said. I can see some being intimated by his knowledge and direct communications. I prefer that than fluff and phony smiles or phony kind words.

Absolutely the worse doctor I have ever encountered! After months of visits he still cannot diagnose the problem. In addition to that his bedside manner is atrocious! It is like being in grade school and getting constantly reprimanded! Don't even think of asking a question! He is condescending, demeaning and totally unprofessional! Even talks about his other patients albeit without naming them but still would you want your medical condition discussed with strangers!? Also have never been there that he is not yelling at his staff in front of you. They remind me of the battered wife syndrome! Truly think he has serious mental problems but he will continue to tell you he is the greatest pulmonologist around. Should have been my first clue!

He has a very poor fund of medical and pulmonary knowledge. His professors at his fellowship refused to talk to me about him. I'm surprised he still is able to practice. Patients should never be treated the way he treats them, and doctors too. He actually yelled expletives at me on the phone, ...why ? he found out that I had referred one of his patients to another pulmonologist..you see, I'm a physician /specialist.. and have knowledge of him more so than most patients..stay away. I would have given a negative star rating if the website allowed this.

Worst doctor I have seen in my entire life. Would not even allow him to look at my dog. Obnoxious personality, made mistakes and lied about it, couldn't figure out a diagnosis, "money hungry" (did duplicate tests in office and charged excessive fees) Stay away from this doctor. I would actually give him 0 stars if that option was available.

Don't use this Dr. He has zero bedside manner.

I don't even know what to say. He knows his stuff, but is the most demeaning and condescending doctor you will ever meet. He actually engaged in a shouting match with me last week when I demanded to be treated with at least a little human decency. He is a disgrace to the field. By the way, my husband is the patient, we are both under forty, and he has an extensive medical history. Believe me when I tell you we have literally encountered HUNDREDS of doctors. Not all were great, but DiPalo is by far the WORST!!

the problem that prompts this negative report. i had an appointment. 3 hours before the appointment (friday) they called and cancelled it. (this was the third time over the course of my being a patient that they did this). they said they would call me back on monday to get me in. when i hadn't heard from them by 11:30 i called and was told, "we were just going to call you. we're working on trying to get you in. we'll call you back in an hour." 4-5 hours later when i hadn't heard from them i called again. i was told they couldn't get me in that day but they would get me the following day. an hour later i called them and cancelled that appointment. i decided to see a different pulmonologist. almost two weeks later i called to have my records sent to the new pulmonologist, today i received in the mail a statement for a "no show" appointment. i said that i called and cancelled it. they said i didn't give them 24 hours notice. i asked how i could have done that since they… scheduled it with less than 24 hours. they also had cancelled appointments i had with less than 24 hours.this office is petty, vindictive and uncaring of a patient's time. in fairness i think the doctor is very knowledgeable and capable. however, there are many excellent pulmonologists in this area and i prefer someone who doesn't think other people's time is less important than his own. and i am a retired doctor.

Do not dare to ask questions. Only choose him if you want to be told what to do and keep your mouth shut.

This doctor has no bedside manners at all. Be prepared to feel intimidated and talked to like a child.
