Dr. Francis P Macmillan, MD

Dr. MacMillan is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Merrimack Valley Gastroenterology in Haverhill. He is a North Andover native and a graduate of Boston College. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, where he remains active in teaching medical students as a volunteer instructor in Community Medicine in the Department of Socio-Medical Sciences. Dr. MacMillan completed his internship and residency at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston and his GI fellowship at Lahey Clinic. He is a past president of the Essex North District Medical Society, past president of the medical staff and current chief of medicine at Merrimack Valley Hospital, current vice president of the Massachusetts Gastroenterology Association, elected to fellowship of the American College of Gastroenterology, and current Massachusetts Governor for the College. He also serves his local community as a member of the Board of Health in North Andover. Dr MacMillan practices in all aspects of general gastroenterology including gastrointestinal endoscopy, upper digestive and reflux diseases, lower digestive and colon cancer screenings, functional disorders, and liver diseases. He is licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
