Dr. Francisco J Espinosa

Dr. Espinosa is a board certified neurosurgeon in USA and Canada with more than 30 years of academic and clinical experience in general neurosurgery. After completing his doctorate degree and neurosurgical residency at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he practiced Academic Neurosurgery as a full time faculty member in the role of Associate Professor of Surgery at Queen’s University in Kingston ON, Canada for eleven years prior to joining Neurological Surgery and Spine Surgery. Dr. Espinosa’s clinical interests are vast and span a multitude of diagnoses from brain to spine and peripheral nerves. Such interests particularly emphasize non-operative and operative treatment of spine disorders from the cervical region to the lumbo-sacral junction using the most advanced minimally invasive methods. He also has a clinical interest in helping patients with chronic pain via spinal cord stimulator placement or pain pump implantation once they have exhausted all other …surgical and nonsurgical methods. Dr. Espinosa has privileges at MacNeal Hospital, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, LaGrange Memorial Hospital and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Dr. Espinosa also connects with the Spanish speaking patients on a personal level given his native Spanish tongue. Dr. Espinosa is a member of both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
