Horrible attitude from both him amd his office manager ( who is also his husband) Joel. High staff turn over .(35 employees in 5 years with total staff of 5) tells me its THEM. Go elsewhere !!

Dr gomez and his office manager Joel (who is also the doctors husband) treat their patients and staff like garbage. They have a crazy high turn over ( 35 employees in 5 years with a total office staff of 5) which tells me the issue is with THEM. steer ckear and seek care elsewhere.

If you want to wast your time, money and get bullied, this is the "man" for you. A good staff, but I did not get an appt with the female Neurologist that's always there, 2 friends of mine goes ro see her and they have even cried together in her office. Mr Gomez is not a good listener. He will rather fave you out of the office the sooner the better it seems. We had an issue with my insurance Co, but he refused to let me come back to pay it all with my credit card. I am of Hispanic heritage, like him. But to be honest, I am ashamed to come from the same area as him. And I so not say this with an easy heart. There is a nice woman there I would rather go to, they highly recommended her to me. She welcomed me,by chance, and I saw that she had a very professional way of making me feel welcome. That was before I went in to talk with Mr Gomez about a very serious matter. It turned out it wasn't any problems with my insurance, I can not say this for sure, but I believe he may have tried to… scam.me,and/or my well-known insurance company. The case is still not solved. He is more concerned about making money,at least in my case. He also almost never had any eye contact with me. I find that suspicious. I need regular visits,I am very ill. I will try to get an appointment with Dr Garten instead. She seems very sweet, and highly professional. I will call on Monday to see if she got room for me.

As you can see most of the good reviews are several years old. Things have really gone down hill there. There is a lot off office turnover and it's impacting patient care. Wait times are longer, willingness to help patients has gone down, etc. Seems like it's all about cramming people in, getting them back out, and getting paid.

Dr. Gomez takes time to listen intently to a patient and responds with empathy, medical explanation, and common sense suggestions to a chronic condition.

I had Dr. Gomez in Syracuse , NY Boy was I not happy when he left. I have had 2 doctors since he left. They can't compare to the care I was given back then . I would still be there now. Dr Gomez got me through a very rough time. thanks to him I can function on a daily basis

This is a truly exceptional doctor. Since I went to see him the first time he has changed locations and is now in a wing or section attached to Ellis hospital. Do NOT let the office staff influence your opinon of this doctor - they are a very peculiar lot. During my first appointment Dr. was very businesslike and I was not sure about him but I am glad I gave him a chance. If this is the case for you don't let that put you off - he is gathering information and thinking about what's going on with you. He is very focused on the medical condition and will warm up q after he has a chance to get a handle on what is going on with you. He follows up and remembers the details of the case and has a good sense of humor. This doctor has a gentle, respectful touch and manner when making examination or doing tests so it reduces fear and anxiety. Without going into personal details of my case I think Dr. Gomez has significantly improved the quality of my life through his diagnosis skills and… treatment.
