Dr. Francisco Jose Machado, MD

I attended the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala in Guatemala City, Guatemala completing a six-year combined undergraduate and graduate program earning my Doctor of Medicine degree in 1983. I completed my Internal Medicine residency at Providence Hospital, an affiliate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

After my residency, I became a staff physician at The South Florida Internal Medicine Group before joining Primary Care Associates of the Palm Beaches. After my marriage, I relocated to Tampa, FL and joined Continucare in 2000. I am Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and am a member of the American College of Physicians. I was awarded the opportunity to complete additional training on Basic Principles of Immunology and; Hypersensitivity: Cell Biology of Immunity and Inflammation at the FAES Graduate School of the National Institutes of Health in 1989. In my leisure time, I enjoy cycling and listening to music. I contribute to the Corpus Christi Catholic Church …and the University of South Florida BRIDGE clinic providing care to the underserved. I advocate that all people should have the right to lead a healthy and productive life. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
