Dr. Puentes is and exceptional endocrinologist. After my bloodwork results and a ultrasound of the thyroid, I had an appointment to review the results. Dr. Puentes explained in very clear terms the meaning of hypercalcemia and hyperparathyroidism and the options to correct. A referral was made that morning with results being forwarded to a surgeon. Dr. Shatul Parikh's office contacted me within 30 min and scheduled a consult that afternoon. At his office a ultrasound parathyroid procedure was performed finding a hypoechoic mass in the left inferior paratracheal space. Surgery has already been scheduled to correct this problem. Many thanks to Dr. Puentes for his observations and referral.
