Dr. Bender received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, followed by an internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation/ Pain Medicine Intervention at the University of Pennsylvania Affiliated Hospitals in Philadelphia. Dr. Bender has been practicing medicine for almost 20 years. Prior to joining The NeuroMedical Center in 2010, he practiced in Indiana, Illinois, North Dakota and Pennsylvania. Dr. Bender is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain medicine through the American Board of Medical Specialties.

He was fast and late and a had appoint at 11:00. I heard AAC device mini talk and PT as, could not contact yet.

I was given extraordinary treatment, with an earlier than appointment time, with excellent visitation experience. Dr Bender has a great bedside manner, very personable making me feel at ease immediately. I was given an appropriate future procedure appointment before leaving by Dr Bender and a follow up as always. Dr Bender is a first class Specialist and I have had many specialist in my lifetime!

Dr. Bender was very nice he shower me the X- rays and explained what was causing the trouble I was having

I've had a variety of medical procedures during my lifetime and new ones create anxiety for me. This just compounds the problem for me. What I have found helps immensely is when I develop a trust of the medical institution and the Doctor and his staff. When I feel they know exactly what they are doing and communicate with me in an open manner my anxiety lessens immediately. Such was the case when I had my visit with Dr Bender. We got through the necessary tests and conversed in often a light hearted manner. I like that. I didn't feel like anything was being held back. I've got more questions to ask in the days and weeks ahead and I feel like Dr Bender and hopefully my future Orthopedic Center doctors will help me through it all by making me feel comfortable and well informed.
