I met Dr. Borao A little over a year ago Back in 2019 I had a gastric sleeve done. I had lost a nice amount of weight, but of course Covid came along gained it all back. I then started to have heartburn issues, Gerd, bile vomiting. I ended up going to my Gastro doctor and they performed a procedure that would look down a hernia someone and so forth I had a very severe hiatal hernia along with Barrett’s disease in the esophagus, but that wasn’t the issue. I then went back to Dr. Borao, and we agreed that he would your revision on the gastric sleeve and repair and fix my hiatal hernia But a year and a half later I really wasn’t losing that much weight. I was kind of at a standstill, but I found that I was suffering from severe heartburn that literally woke me up in the middle of the night. I went back to Dr. Borao, It was the greatest gift of all Dr Borao, Performed a gastric bypass, repaired my hiatal hernia again, which really wasn’t so bad and also had a look at my esophagus. I… am now two weeks postop and I’ve never felt better even though I’m on liquids, I know no longer suffer from the heartburn that would keep me up at all hours of the night. Dr. Borao, If you read this, I want to thank you for all of your care, Concern and answering all my questions. Dr. Borao is not only an exceptional surgeon with substantial experience, he's also the rare physician who takes time to answer all questions. His explanations are thorough and often accompanied by visuals to illustrate his point. And he's a nice guy.

Dr. Borao performed my Hiatal Hernia surgery. He was extremely professional and thorough. He took the time to explain to me the issues I was experiencing and the step by step process of what he was going to do in surgery to correct that. He does not rush patients in and out of his office and ensures he answers all questions. Since the surgery, I feel significantly better and have noticed a huge improvement of my quality of life.

Dr. Borao is simply the best at what he does. He's worked on me three separate times over 13 years. He saved my life with a Giant type 4 hiatal hernia repair, later, a double inguinal hernia repair and most recently, A cholecystectomy (Gall Bladder removal) with an addition umbilical hernia repair thrown in. Dr. Borao is patient, answers all and any questions and has the best technical surgical skills with minimally invasive surgery. I had some difficulty the evening of the latest surgery. My wife called his service and Dr. Borao got back to us quickly and followed up with a call the next day. He's always made me feel at ease and is very personable and genuinely caring.
