Welcome to my Web page. I am a family physician who has been with Kaiser Permanente for more than 20 years. I am currently the chief of the Family Medicine Department and Urgent Care Department at the Riverside Medical Center. I enjoy providing leadership in such hardworking and dedicated departments. Our focus is to give top-quality service to our members.
Biography
I am originally from South Carolina where I grew up on a dairy farm. I am extremely appreciative of having wonderful parents who encouraged me to follow my desire to become a physician. I received all of my formal education in South Carolina until when I came to California to do my residency training. After completing my three years of family medicine residency, I worked for two years as a civilian physician for the U.S. military in Bremerhaven, Germany. I then decided to move back to sunny California and joined Kaiser Permanente in 1987.
About my practice
I know that being a physician was the right career …choice for me. I feel privileged to be able to help people with all aspects of their health. My golden rule is to treat my patients as I would want someone treat my own family members.
How I thrive
I most enjoy being outside working in my yard and garden-it probably brings me back a little bit to my happy childhood of growing up on a farm. Running and walking my dogs helps both my body and mind stay healthy.
