Dr. Frank Elmer Lane, MD

Dr. Lane listened to me and went over and above to help me. He looked at dna, diet, meditation, exercise, etc. I am forever grateful for him.

I requested my complete medical records. Dr. Frank E. Lane did not provide those to me. One day when I was protesting at his office one of his patients told me they could not get their records from this doctor also. Just not good at all to not be able to get your own medical records . Dr. Lane is a thoughtful, ethical, logical, and quite fun man who has helped me for years, and who continues to do so. In addition to his up-to-date and encyclopedic knowledge of psychiatry, he has experience with and understanding of several other fields of medicine. Aside from his indispensable help with my mental health, he's helped set me on the paths to correct treatment after other specialists had failed for years. Having Dr. Lane as a provider is extremely helpful, but it's also very interesting. He can make you think about yourself and the world around you... if that's what you need. I've recommended several friends to him, and our experiences vary tremendously; he really tailors treatment to patients. I will be his patient for as long as he lets me.

I would like to remind everyone that Dr. Frank E. Lane could not provide me with my complete medical records when I decided to move on. Medical records are very important as what if the doctor retires?

I have always had a bit of anxiety and depression. I had an incident happen about 4 years ago that put me into a bad PTSD. I was a wreck. I couldn't get out of bed. I did not want to go anywhere. If my doorbell rang I would have a panic attack. After a few sessions with Dr Lane and some group therapy with his wonderful group, I slowly began to recover from my PTSD. Over the past 4 years we have worked on not only my PTSD but my anxiety and depression as well. I went to group tonight and left happy laughing and feeling more like me then I have in many many years. I would recommend Dr Lane to anyone that has any mental issues or just need somebody to talk to. He is a good listener and he has good advice to give. I can't speak for everyone but I know I would not be here today if it was not for Dr Lane and his group. Donna L

A patients medical records are very important. If the doctor decides to retire or if patient moves or decides to go to a different doctor then the medical records will help the next doctor know more about the patient. This Dr. Frank E.Lane was not able to give me my complete medical records when I requested.

Dr Lane is the best psychiatrist ever. I was so depressed after my husband died and decided I needed to see a psychiatrist. I chose to try Dr Lane. He was so compassinate and understanding. I had given up wanting to live and if not for. his help I am not sure I would be here today. He helped bring me through it all. I thank God I found him and for his theropy. I would not say his office is fancy as some offices. Just down to earth. He cares more about his patients than he does about as fancy office and that what make different and a great doctor. I would recommend him any day.

I have been seeing Dr. Lane for 25 years! He has helped me and my family get through many obstacles in our bipolar lives I truly believe he has saved my husband's life more than once, and he has never failed to take care of me with the upmost care. My adolescent daughters, saw him through their teenage years and they could not live the lives they have now without his wonderful caring manner He truly is the best doctor in Dallas Texas, if you get the chance to visit with him you'll be very lucky you did!!

When I visited him in Texas some years ago, I had a number of psychiatrists, but he was the only one that diagnosed my problem correctly. That was why I rated him so highly.

Lane absolutely knows what he's talking about. I've been let down by many doctors, and therefore tend not to trust them. In the less than two years I've been seeing him, Dr. Lane has earned my complete trust. I've met a lot of doctors, but I've never met one with so much knowledge in his own field as well as others. I have never been to an appointment without learning something completely new. He is the only doctor to ever bother explaining, in scientific terms, how and why certain medications work. I see him for medication management for major depressive disorder, but he has given me more leads on my undiagnosed chronic physical illness than any doctor ever has. He keeps up with new research and medications, and he listens more than most doctors I've known. I can easily say he is the best and most comprehensive doctor I've seen.
