Dr. Frank H Swords, DO

This doctor is trash. He's a butcher. He tells you one thing and does another under the knife. Then he disappears. His bedside manner is non-existent. He's a discredit to the field.

Dr. Swords has great bedside manner. He thoroughly explains everything and takes time to answer questions. We did not feel rushed at all.

When I was 13 (Spring 2007), I went to Swords for a scope on my left knee. Due to the severity of the injury to my knee, he ended up having to tighten the outside muscles as well. It turns out that he over tightened them because he either figured that I had stopped growing at the age of 13 and height of 5'5", or didn't take that into account. Within a month after the surgery, I knew something wasn't right. Within the next year, I reached 5'9", so the muscles in my knee were even more outstretched, my knee cap came loose and began sliding and catching on the outside muscles, shredding them in the process. My dad and I returned to him in the summer of 2008, after months of physical therapy to try and correct his mistake, he wouldn't come near me, wouldn't touch my knee, nothing. He sent me off to Scottish Rite to a specialist who told me, even after many tests saying otherwise, that my pain was all in my head, later we found out that this doctor and Swords were golf buddies. It was just… so disappointing. Since then, I had a second surgery in Spring 2009 by John E. Conway in Ft. Worth and have had absolutely no problems since.

Professional, caring doctor. He provided multiple options for my treatment and adequately described each so that I could make an informed decision. His post-operative care was magnificent! I highly recommend Dr. Swords!

After seeing another orthopedic for Shoulder issues for over 9 months and being sent to physical therapy, Dr Sword, on my first visit focused on an enlarged area and sent me for an MRI. I am still waiting on final diagonis of type of cancer, but thanks to him I am getting treatment much earlier than if I continued seeing my previous orthopedic surgeon. I would highly recommend Dr. Swords.

Excellent Doctor - Cares about his patients. He has a busy office so expect to wait a little bit, but he is worth the wait :)

I had a hard time finding a doctor that could get find the problem I was having with my knee. Dr. Swords never gave up because he knew I was in pain. We finally did exploratory surgery and he foudn the problem and now I ma pain free for the first time in a year!!He is great.
