Dr. Frank Edward Waechter, MD

During my 2nd pregnancy, this man brushed off every question & concern that I had, and seemed like he couldn't get out of the room fast enough. He ignored abnormal ultrasound results for over 3 weeks until my appointment, at which point he again tried to dismiss the problem until I pushed. He said "They said to consider trisomy 18, I //guess// we can schedule another ultrasound". He didn't explain anything else & immediately left the room. I ended up being forced to carry to term with a child who would never take a breath on her own & who would die before I ever got a chance to hold her. Had he done his job, or given a crap at all about me or my child, I could have forgone 12 weeks of emotional, mental, and physical trauma. His negligence has irreparably damaged my life, and I truly hope that he loses his license before he ruins anyone else's life. I filed a complaint with the Texas Medical Board, but then he suddenly moved to Arizona. After asking around, it seems that there… were a lot of women in my town who had very similar experiences involving negligence, rudeness, completely ignoring warning signs of problems, and basically leaving the exam room without allowing the patient to ask questions or get answers during one of the most stressful times in their life. He was my doctor during my 1st pregnancy (4 years prior), and was not like this at all. He completely checked out and it's obvious he no longer cared, at all, about his patients or their unborn children. It must've been easy for him to continue practicing unscathed, considering it's not his life that hangs in the balance of his inaction and ineptitude.

seems competent, but acts like a jerk

I am one of his pregnant patients and i think he does a great job. He gives me great advice in anything I have questions about. The only thing i think he could do better at is it always seems like he is in a huge hurry. Sometimes it seems as though he maybe has too big of case load or something. But other than that, he is great!
