If I could give 0 stars I would. First and last time going. He told me to take every test under the sun and I did. Did not call me back for almost 4-5 weeks. I get a voice mail from his ladies at the front desk (rude and can care less for patients) claiming I should call them as soon as possible so I did. “Justice” picked up the phone and put me on hold and then closed the office 15 minutes early and never got back to me. So unprofessional, the most dirty office I’ve ever see period. They had me pay out of pocket and he said he didn’t even have much time because he was busy working for the hospital and would be taking a call so he’d be cutting my appointment short. So now I’m waiting until tomorrow to get my results… stay away if you know what’s good for you.

My opinion the doctor is friendly he had help a lot but went come to get my prescription I had to call so many times to get my medicine I understand that the man is busy but Come on long it takes to go to you computer and send it to the pharmacy like I said this guy is a god person but the staff not to nice some ice them

Unfortunately to all the negative reviews on here my experienced differed. Went in last week and the male receptionist squeezed me in generously without having to wait months like other rheumatologists in the area like NYU Langone. Reception was fast, check in was easy, my wait time was about 25 minutes and dr ast was more than generous with his information and his explanation of my condition. Office is alittle run down and could use major upgrades but if you really care about the treatment and getting things done then this is the place for it

Where do I start. This doctor does not respect patients and seems to be taking advantage of them for money. On my last visit the doctor was running around doing errands and teaching an intern and barely spent time with me-maybe 5 minutes. Then he says he's sending my bloodwork to a lab in California and that I had to sign something. I was not feeling well so I signed the document without thinking. I then get a letter in the mail from my insurance carrier saying that my claim is not covered because he did not request prior authorization before providing the service. I called and left a message with the receptionist twice because I had a question and he never got back to me. I would not recommend.

Reviews are accurate. Stay away. Nothing good about him or practice, except ease of getting an appointment.- now I know why!

I'm confused. How how different sites with reviews are so different. I looked up the reviews for Doctor Ast on Zocdoc, and they were wonderful. Because of a previous problem with the service, I decided to call the office directly. My visit was anything but wonderful. Rude staff, extremely long wait, dirty office, and a disinterested doctor.

Horrible practice.

I can't believe that the doctor still has patients who go to him. He doesn't know what he is doing. After taking tests, he doesn't get back to you, and it takes weeks before you finally reach him. His staff couldn't care less about their jobs, or their patients.
