Dr. Fred Blackwell, MD

Dr. FRED BLACKWELL is an 5 star candidate. He loves what he does and it shows. I have no complaints. I seen him in a Vallejo office for a QME appointment and he really listened. He gave me information to help me, which was more then other doctors I have seen for months did to get better. He is a rock star!!

Do NOT choose this doctor to treat anything, he is incompetent and malicious.

I called today to inquire about a form they sent us as an employer whose employee is being treated there. The woman who answered the phone was a total arrogant ignorant miserable person who didn't have even the slightest idea of phone skill. If Dr. Blackwell thinks this is his idea of office staff. you better stay away.

I found Dr.Blackwell to exetremely kind and caring. He was attentative ad seemed to care about my overall well-being

I was in a car accident and had a neck injury. I called Dr. Blackwell's office to set up an appointment. I inquired whether they accepted my insurance, and the receptionist told me she wasn't sure and would "call me right back". I waited all afternoon for a call back, and never got one. I waited the next day and never heard back. In pain, I called back 48 hours later and got an answering machine in the middle of the day, so I left a message. Again waited two more days, in pain, because this was supposedly an "excellent" doctor. I called the office again and left another message. I waited two more days, without response, so I called a final time, and got a male receptionist, who told me flatly "Dr. Blackwell does not wish to see you." I asked if it was about the insurance or money and, if so, I'd pay cash up front. He told me, "no" it's not about the insurance and he doesn't want to see you even if you pay cash up front. When I asked why, I was told "we don't need to give you… an explanation!" How in the world is that justifiable? Leaving an injured patient to suffer for a week, never calling back, and then just telling me he won't see me, and that he didn't owe an explanation. Because of the delay in treatment, my injuries became more severe and I was in more pain. This doctor should have his license revoked. Avoid him.
