Dr. Fred Wayne Gaskin, MD

I have never had someone talk to me the way he did. He was so rude and hateful the whole visit. I would never ever recommend him to anyone.

Well I am diagnosed ADHD , panic disorder and moved here from Illinois. Haven't been on medication in years and have been able to manage but that changed when I moved here . my primary Dr has helpedas much as he could . but told me the abuse rate for stimulants is too high in this area and wouldn't prescribe them and to see a psychiatrist . so I did . this guy . he started by saying....in this area ..when I started here at this practice ....half the population was on xanax and stimulants and I ended that . I don't believe in anything that is or can be addictive . then he kept challenging my adjd diagnoses . I told him I don't do well on anti depressants . all in all he challenged everything I said trying to catch me in a lie. Then prescribed what he said was not an antidepressant . and it was . he lied. That pill made everything worse. This guy was very irrogant. He tries to talk in a medical school way thinking I didn't understand about receptors and neurons . and says upfront he will… not prescribe benzodiazapines. Stimulants etc.

This Dr gaskin fred is rude and mean he was laughing when I said I was in the hospital for almost a week because I was in a coma. And he is wanting to take everyone off of the medication when they don't need to be ..

He is by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. He stares at the clock with a heavy sigh, he is rude, condescending, he smirks and gets angry with a red face if you don't answer a question to his full satisfaction, even when the question WAS answered. He acts arrogant towards you when he has his "I'm better than you" approach to your serious issues that are obviously boring him or annoying him, he is very insulting, and when I approached him with a list of things I wanted to talk about he said very rudely to me, "looks like a lot so can you just break it down some?" then looked at the clock as to be aggravated that I would want to talk to my PSYCHIATRIST about my MENTAL and EMOTIONAL problems. He is completely there to receive a check without working for it!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR...for lack of a better word that I have in mind! I would not have even given him one star if it were not required for the review.

I'd been to a number of Psychiatrists and Dr. Gaskin was the first to really help me: Saved my life, my marriage and my job.

Fred Gaskin is nothing more than a QUACK. This idiot wouldn't know what Psychiatry is if it hit him in his empty skull. He tslks down to patients and raises his voice at them and has a generally POOR bedside manner. He cares NOTHING about the patients at all. He merely wants to collect a check.

Certainly one of the best physicians I've seen

I cannot in good faith recommend this doctor. He is arrogant and he allows his staff to insult and treat his patients poorly.
