Dr. Fred Ernest Potts IV, MD

Someone called me on my cell phone concerning a meeting at a local hotel with patient’s seminar. Had people hawking a vitamin service with representatives from Las Vegas. He told me that he intended to be in Savannah for a long time. Deadbeat!!!

Dr Potts was in Savannah , GEORGIA for less than a year he bought our previous doctors practice.. He was the biggest joke of a doctor I have ever seen. He would come go over our blood work and then he would listen to our lungs and heart and we were done. My husband was in the hospital for a week when he was discharged they said make an appointment with him within 72 hours. On Monday I called the office and was the office was closing as of Wednesday and Dr Potts was leaving town. If he was still in town I wouldn't take sick dog to him.

Dr Potts is a very wonderful and caring doctor. He has helped both of us tremendously. His staff are like seeing friends every time we see them for our appointment. We had some trouble with our insurance not paying our claims and the billing department worked with us and our insurance. They went above and beyond and i can't thank them enough.

dr potts and his staff are exceptional. He saved my life by helping me understand how to manage my diabetes. I have all my family going there now and they are pleased to be well taken care of

I've been Dr. Potts' patient for a long time. He's always been great with me and my family. He's internal medicine- meaning he's not just a regular "Family Practice" physician. He's very thorough and wants to prevent your heart attack rather than waiting and treating it after the fact. That's why he has you do labs and f/u w/ him. The person who said he's a quack and uneducated doesn't know what she is talking about. The staff is very friendly and I never have to wait to see Dr. Potts. He's very smart and I trust him. I much rather see him as he his an internal medicine physician rather than a general practice doc. I've never felt better and you won't die on Dr. P's watch. He wants to prevent something bad from happening than treating it after the fact. It's cheaper to pay for it now and prevent it than after your heart attack or whatever. I appreciate him running labs and tests as it is the standard of care and has saved my life. I recommend Dr. Potts to anyone.

I was very pleased with my experience. Dr. Potts spent about 15 minutes with me. The staff was courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend.

He misdiagnoses you, he drops you if you ask for a referral for a second opinion. He sends you threatening letters in the mail saying that he has to see you at least once a year or he will drop you, I was ok with that but after I was misdiagnosed on something trivial that a fresh grad would know I wanted to find someone else anyay. After going in for standard blood work, I found out that I was pre diabetic. He said it was genetic and wanted to put me on medicine for the rest of my life. That is a big decision so I asked for a referral to an endocrinologist since obviously they are more specialized. The nurses then called me and told me Dr./Quack Potts couldn't trust me anymore since I went against his will for me to try the medicine and that he didn't want to see me anymore. Apparently his word is the word of God. He is a wolf in sheeps clothing that will do anything to steal every dime from you. He hands out bibles in the waiting room but I guess that whole part of the bible talking… about the evils of greed never sunk in. Good doctor if all you will ever have is a minor cough.

I agree 100% with the previous comment. This doctor's office is always asking for you to do unnecessary tests and treatments. I have already found a different doctor.

his office calls 3 to 5 times aweek to schedule app for test that you dont need and that he hasnt discussed with you its all about the money i needed papers signed and copied and he ended up sending them through email then charged me 129.00 all about the money find a better doctor that doesnt want to take all your money....
