Dr. Frederick Hirshburg, MD

I was left with a false sense of security when it came to his care. As my child's PCP for four years, he neglected to monitor my sons complex dx and never followed up with referral doctors recommendations. After three complaints filed for lack of care for child's autism, I've lost confidence in his ability to serve as PCP. After a state hearing disclosed he never sent requested records, after repeated requests where made directly with him. He never revealed any issue during my repeated attempts to gain medical support. His staff always left me with the feeling he would send off the needed papers, but never did.

We love Dr. Hirshburg! He was my pediatrician 30 years ago and now we use him for our two boys. He never makes me feel as if he is in a hurry and he always takes the time to thoroughly explain everything to us. I am a bit of a worrier, so he is very good at calming my nerves.

First visit to establish care left me confused after the doctor abruptly left the room and never returned. Very poor at "listening," stood at computer terminal the entire time and never greeted my child. I tried to share my child's medical history and found doctor to be difficult at times. Left me unimpressed.
