Years ago, my primary referred me to him for rectal bleeding and a family history of colon cancer. He treated my diverticular disease and does my colonoscopies every 5 years. You are more than a patient to him. You are a person, and he is meticulous in his care. While he is preparing his equipment for the exam, its like visiting a family friend, making the procedure feel more routine and less intimidating. (for me it now has become routine).He is always sure you are comfortable, and without any pain or discomfort. If you have any gastrointestinal problems I would highly recommend him.

In '85 Mom had emergency bowel surgery. Her surgical team planned a 2nd to close her stoma, expected her to die on the table. !!?! Dr Schnure, New Guy in Town, said we leave stoma, start TPN, she goes home. His confidence became ours, his joy at her progress increased Mom's determination, his skill sent her home 90 days later.
