Dr. Frederick Wayne Willison, MD

I was told I had a very agressive form of head and neck cancer by a VA cancer Dr, He said I had about 4 months to live without treatment, but "I can give you about 4 years to tell your faqmily good bye! My family asked me to get another opinon. I went to St Johns Hospital. I received much better news there. Dr. Willison read my records from the V.A and The first thing he said was Robert. You are not going to die. I interruped him, "Why did the VA Dr. say I would. He answered because they have old Machines, Methods, and Medicines. Thank God I got another opinion. He was right. After 60 treatments of radiation and 6 with chemo. I was ready to go home.- after 5 years of chek ups. Dr. Willison at one of my last he said I did not even have a scar where the largest tumor was. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June. After many procedures and surgery my medical oncologist referred me to Dr. Willison at St John Tulsa. Immediately we found him to be very warm, sincere, and most of all knowledgeable. He was thorough in his examination and questions. We valued his honesty. Dr Willison totally changed our opinion of oncologists. Our prior experience was a doctor who was cold and abrupt. Dr Willison is an excellent physician!

Thought this man knew what he was doing. He made a good impresion during consult and recommended cyber knife for my lung tumor. I went with his suggestion and recieved by treatments of cyber knife. the tumor came back a couple of months later and I had a second opinion at MD anderson in Houston. They were shocked that he would treat such a small area with cyber knife when I had other suspicious areas visible on the CT at the time. The explained that a larger treatment area with IMRT should have been the standard of care. Too late for me, the cancer is now wide spread. Thank you Dr Willison.
