Dr. Arevalo is internationally known for his expertise in complex inguinal and ventral hernia repairs. His current national leadership role includes membership of the HERNIA TASK FORCE of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons as an EXPERT in the HERNIA field.

He has authored several research articles and invited commentaries to some of the most influential gastrointestinal journals in the World. He frequently presents at national and international surgical meetings.
