Dr. Gabriela A. Arias, MD

I have been a patient of Dr arias for over two years but I've only went in to see her maybe twice, if not three times. This past month have been a difficult month for me seeing how my pain management doctor dropped me as a patient. I have been trying to find a pain management doctor that can prescribed me hydrocodone for my pain. It is the same medicine that I've been taken for 10yrs. Since I've been haven a hard time finding a doctor, and I was running out of my hydrocodone that I had. I called to see if dr.arias, who is my PCP could just write me a prescription so that I wouldn't go into withdrawal again. I do say again because I experienced that for the grist time in 10yrs a couple of months ago. But did see do it??????? NO OOOOOOO. SHE RATHER HER PATIENT TO GO INTO WITHDRAWAL THAN TO MAKE SURE THAT HIS HEALTH WAS OK. I bet you if I was white or Mexican I would not be treated that way. I called the office to speak to the office manager and she told me "Mr.Francis, we don't have time… to listen to everything you have to say"..... WOWWWWW. Time for a New PCP that has time for my needs and ?.

I had to leave my old doctor after 18 years. We found Dr. Arias because of our plan and very convenient location. Both my son and I love her! She is so friendly and really cares about you! Definitely recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Arias is kind and attentive, but there is one nurse who works there who has TERRIBLE bedside manner. I had to get bloodwork done for a couple horrible diseases (that are unfortunately easier to get than one would think), and this nurse was cold, uncaring, dismissive, and even judgmental about my needing to be tested for these diseases (again, just tested, just the notion that I MIGHT have something disgusted her, I ended up testing negative for everything). She was so uneasy about it that she did not even want to perform the bloodwork, and sent me away to a far off lab so she would not have to do it. I felt so dirty and disgusting from her treatment, and already full of shame that I had to be tested in the first place. This experience alone already made me never want to come back, but now I am in a lot of pain, and I do not know of any other PCP's, so I called to see if there was any way I could be seen today, and of course, I got the same cold nurse on the other side of the phone.… When given an available appointment time that would require me leaving work really early, I asked if I could put a soft hold on the appointment, and call right back after checking with my supervisor. The nurse told me no, that they will charge me a cancellation fee if my supervisor needed me to power through a little longer for a meeting or anything. At this point I just said thank you and hung up. Needless to say, because of this nurse, I will never go back to this practice, I'd rather pay extra fees for an urgent care visit than be treated so coldly by a "caregiver".

Dr. Arias saw me for possible pneumonia. She was so authentic! She described my condition with just the right amount of detail. A true professional with seemingly, a very kind heart.
