Dr. Chung specializes in cataract and refractive surgery. He has completed a subspecialty fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of Minnesota. Prior to this, he received his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Chung is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has participated in a number of research studies with several publications in ophthalmologic journals. He recently authored a chapter in Cornea, the most widely used textbook for corneal disorders. Dr. Chung is certified for the Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) procedure and LASIK. Dr. Chung combines his expertise and training with a deep commitment to patient care.

I only rated a 4 because the wait time is ridiculous and when I called with what I thought was an emergency, it took them a week to get me in! However, Dr. Chung is worth the wait. My first experience with him was amazing. I went in because I could not see out of my right eye and had excruciating pain with eye movement. After all the testing he revealed it had nothing to do with my eyes. Immediately he had his staff schedule me for an MRI to figure out what was going on. I saw Dr. Chung on a Thursday and got an apt for the MRI on Monday. Monday evening Dr. Chung followed up with me to provide me with the results of the MRI. MS was the diagnosis...He had me into the hospital the next day and arranged my Neurology apt for me within that week. Without his expertise, caring, compassion, dedication, I would not have had the immediate treatment. I'm blessed and grateful for Dr. Chung!

Just completed cataract surgery on both eyes. Dr. Chung is very easy to work with and took the time to answer my numerous questions. Prior to surgery, I underwent several exams to determine the health of my eyes, what lens would work best and what the best procedure would be. The day of surgery (both of them) the staff was caring, efficient and wanted to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Chung has a personality that inspires confidence. He's clearly very skilled in his field. My last appointment he seemed as pleased with the result as I was.

The wait time for a simple recheck for dry eyes was over an hour. This seems to be standard practice at this office. I will be looking for a new doctor.

Every visit I made to the Evergreen clinic, no matter what the location, was a pure pleasure. I had two cataract surgeries done there and there aren't enough word to describe the level of excellence in their treatment. They are efficient, caring, and totally professional. I would recommend them to anyone needing eye care. They are, quite simply, the best!
